We don't really have complaints about the support from VU+, especially not compared to the support from others, including Gigablue.

I would not advise the Duo 4K at this point, it's drivers still have some irritiating issues we are still trying to get fixed.

Vu Duo 4k Driverer issiues, what are they? and how do the show ?

Arw therw any driver issues with VU+ Ultimo 4K? and in that case, what are they and how the impact?

The drivers of the ultimo4k do have in the frontend procs procs that do not exist and give false information what really can be done. The procs are fixed values.... I had to make work-a-rounds to get it properly worked for vu in Nimmanager.py...

The VU+ Duo 4K driver has some issues where audio becomes "choppy", which can be fixed temporarely by a quick zap, but needs a restart to make it go away for a while.

There has been a driver update recently which mentions audio fixes, I haven't had the time yet to fully assess if this update has fixed the issue.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

The Audio problem is it when viewing from a  Sat. channel or is when playing from other sources or regardless what's playing?

Are there problems with AC3 DD5.1? My brother said that there have been problem with DD5.1 and I found in some forum that the workaround was to use a spdif cable to the receiver.

But that was some years ago so that problem would have been solved now.

Another question regarding VU+ Ultimo 4K vs Dou 4K.

Is there some functions/capabilities/features that Ultimo 4K has but not Duo 4K and vice versa?

I know that Ultimo has

3 slots for tuner modules   -  Uno only 2

2 smartcard readers   -  Uno only 1

3.5" and 2.5" hdd   -  Uno only 2.5"

3GB RAM   -  Uno only 2GB RAM

But iDuo 4K has a much faster CPU 4x2100MHz while Ultimo only has 4x1500MHz.

But are there any other differencies? Does Ultimo 4K have "features" that Uno 4K don't have ?

I don't play media so I don't know. Some people report it with a few radio stations, I have it only with a few SD channels on 28.2. So nothing to do with AC3, it's all PCM.

But iDuo 4K has a much faster CPU 4x2100MHz while Ultimo only has 4x1500MHz.

The difference isn't noticable.

And note that the third slot in the Ultimo 4K is a "legacy" slot, in case you want to use a "old" tuner module. Those don't fit in the Duo 4K, both slots are new fbc-type slots.
