BT Sport 1 HD

BT Sport 2 HD

On my receiver they have EPG until sunday 3/2

There is data in the XMLTV file

However they did not exist in the channels file.  Added them.

Same holds for the other channels.

Willy

Thanks.

BT Sport 2 HD still not showing EPG.

What is the channels file? Something I need to add?

in addition to the above... MTV HD EPG is wrong, it is showing the EPG from an asian channel

Thanks.

Attached File  MTV HD epg 1.jpg   82.77KB   3 downloads

There are 2 versions of MTV HD and BT Sport 2 HD, one is MPEG4 AVC and the other is MPEG2 (Virgin in the middle of transition to MPEG4).

The epg for older MPEG2 is working fine for those 2 channels but the new versions of these channels now use MPEG4 and the service reference is different.

The 2 versions of same channels have different service references. Please take a look at the references in the photos I attached.

Thanks

Why don't you just post the references instead of the picture?
That way the person helping you for free in their own time can just copy and paste it instead of having to type the whole lot out?

Changed it to MTV.

PS:  The others have been added yesterday.  So today they should have EPG

"why don't" someone tell me that it will be copied and pasted?

I don't know how it all works. All I know is I get pull up a screen that shows some details, I don't know which of these is used for what purpose, I just know this picture contains most of the info needed to do whatever magic is done. The picture won't let me copy and paste so with 6 photos I thought it would be better to put the picutres straight up than type out every line from every photo.

Thanks.

Thank you for fixing MTV HD, much appreciated.

I just ran EPG-Importer

All others are working

but BT Sport 2 HD is still not showing any EPG.

Would you be so kind as to take another look at it?

Everyone has been posting references, surely common sense would have led you to do the same? You don't need to type anything, you can copy and paste the details.

Have a look at the section titled "How to capture a single service reference" Repeat for as many references as you need.
https://forums.openp...d-xmltv-import/

Willy does a fantastic job for everyone. Best to make his "work" as easy as possible.

Checked again, and indeed the sevice ref 1:0:19:9C8:19:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0: was assigned to CNBC.

Changed it.

The channels file is updated.  So if you already imported today, you need to force a new download of the channels file.  This is done by restarting enigma2.

Willy

Hi,

a lot of channels' EPG info just shows a subject in brackets and no actual info about the programme, I've noticed this on ITV, Channel 4, BT Sport 3 (BT Sport 1 & 2 are fine), eir sport channels, MTV, and some others.

It simply says something like [sport] or [series e167] instead of information about the programme like it used to. No description anymore, just genre and episode number.

Is this a fault? Or a recent change?

Thanks.

If it is a change, it is definitely not intentional.

It probably means that the reader needs some attention.

But, when I checked my own receiver the EPG of ITV, Channel4 and BTsport3 are just OK with the normal descriptions.

Can you check your configuration of the EPGimport plug-in.  There is a setting in which you can define for how many days you can import descriptions.  Set this to 7 pls. when you want the 7 days of description.

Hi,

I am trying to setup plex with my sat box and needed help with epg.  I have a option for the below, is there an address I can use which can help with the EPG?

I can either use:

XMLTV File location

or

XMLTV API URL

Thanks

Hey, I hope you are well.

I noticed a few days ago that two channels haven't had an EPG for a while so I thought I would mention it now with the hope you can fix it.

TLC HD

EuroSport 2 HD

Much appreciated.
