One of the servers is holding old data. Until person returns from holiday/gets chance to sort server out, you will have to wait.

Alternatively, enable the virgin EPG reader and select previews and store for a few minutes.

Can you please explain the alternatively in more detail please. Do i enable this via the enigma2 box i have?

To enable the EPG readers built into Enigma2 on Open PLI:

Firstly, enable expert mode

Menu > Setup > System > GUI settings > expert settings > User mode > Setup mode

Change this to expert

Then

Menu > Setup > System > GUI Settings > EPG settings> Enable Virgin EPG

Enable this

Other images have an EPG menu where all the EPG settings and plugins reside

Sometimes the EPG Virgin send on the siganl stream is poor and not as descriptive as the EPG that is available on the internet.

Not sure if it's due to the rogue server with old data, but for BBC FOUR HD I'm seeing the wrong data (looks like the EPG for a sports channel). Id is 1:0:19:901:17:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

This is the link in the channels file:

1:0:1:901:17:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

Obvious wrong. Will correct.

Thanks - I have another one...

Paramount Network HD seems to have it's EPG mixed up with that of Channel 5+1 (I think). It's id is 1:0:19:966:18:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

Incidentally, where can I see the channels file? Is this post still uptodate - https://forums.openp...-channels-file/ ? I tried downloading the xls from there but IDs I've quoted don't seem to be in it.

Cheers

The xls is still maintained. It is a copy of my masterfile.

1:0:1:966:18:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

Changed it to:

1:0:19:966:18:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

Willy

PS: as you can see, ignore the 1:0:1 or 1:0:19 prefixes. These are not used for EPG.

Hello Doglover, I finally got around to taking screenshots of the new virgin channels that have launched recently.

History HD (NOT H2 HD)

Premier Sports 2 (NOT Premier Sports HD)

Quest HD

I have uploaded the screenshots.

Will be most appreciative if the epg for these new channels is added :D

Thank you in advance.

Would it be better to copy and paste the reference to the post? Doglover can then do the same when adding the details instead of having to type it. Far easier for him and less chance of errors.

Sent from my Moto G (5S) using Forum Fiend v1.3.3.

OK added.

I would prefer if you cut and paste the service ref from the webif.

Tune in to the channel with the webif, Click onto the Current channel button (at the top in the webif screen).

Select the service ref - the one with colons (:) - and copy it.

Paste it into a message.

Thanks for the instructions! Being able to copy and paste as text is much better/quicker for me too! Thanks.

Since Premier Sports 2 launched, Premier Sports HD epg is blank and I suspect Premier Sports 2 epg is not correct - showing epg for Premier Sports HD instead.

Service ref for Prem Sports HD

which is better for you? with the underscore or no underscore?

I have these:

1:0:1:BBF:1E:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

1:0:1:96C:18:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

1:0:19:BBF:1E:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

1:0:1:D5:2:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

1:0:1:E80:25:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

I looked at the grab and compared it with the schedule published on the uk-sky TVguide webpages. And they match.

Willy

Hello Doglover, i hope you are well.

Virgin have just launched a few HD channels in the UK, I am posting their Ref below as their EPG is blank.

Sony TV HD

Sref: 1_0_19_C87_20_F020_FFFF0000_0_0_0 1:0:19:C87:20:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

Zee Cinema HD

Sref: 1_0_19_B5B_1D_F020_FFFF0000_0_0_0 1:0:19:B5B:1D:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

Sony Max HD

Sref: 1_0_19_DB3_23_F020_FFFF0000_0_0_0 1:0:19:DB3:23:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

Living Foods HD

Sref: 1_0_19_C23_1F_F020_FFFF0000_0_0_0 1:0:19:C23:1F:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

(ps I also updated to latest Openvix image, updated ABM and downloaded EPG again just now to make sure I am not using an older buggy download)

I would be most appreciative if you could add these.

Thank you Doglover :)

Willy,

every now and then I see

[Series] (S"video"E"video")

in the description. This happens on quite a few channels.

For example now I see it on GOLD+1 (The Royal Family Special: Joe's Crackers), but weirdly enough not on GOLD (same programme).

So I assume you grab them from different sites and it's a grabbing issue?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
