Universal Channel HD

1:0:1:8FE:17:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0

Was assigned to Starlife. Changed.

1:0:1:A2A:1A:F020:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

Maybe there is a difference between the SKY and virgin versions?

Although all the schedules I can find (tvguide, entertainment.ie, horizon) give the same schedule.

Willy

Ok thanks Doglover

So do i need to re-download my EPG for this to take affect?

Also the channels with wrong EPG checked and corrected. (wrong assignments)

Except RacingUK. Cannot find anything wrong with it.

Also UTV+1 and STV+1 added.

I do not know why but it seems all the sky movies channels on virgin seem like they are wrong. But it is only by a movie or two wrong.

Every time you go to a channel it is saying that this film is on but it is showing a completely different film. Always the film before, i have to confirm the film by checking with the sky EPG to see what is really on.

It is strange because they are both correct at times but the timings are not the same.

For example at 9.30 on sky comedy HD it is saying Dogeball is on but actually its Zoolander but dogeball will be coming on after.

Really weird

Indeed some problems with DST.

Not all channels are affected. It is really weird. Some channels have problems, others are just fine although they are both grabbed from the same webpage.

It looks like this morning everything is gone be all-right. However the update will be a bit late.

Hey Doglover

I know i have asked you this before but what is the most accurate way to obtain EPG for virgin cable channels. Cross EPG and downloading it from the XMLTV providers or by downloading it from EPG importer.

I posted screensots where the EPG on the cable channel seems a bit messed up.

So i posted an EPG listing for the same channel in sky and virgin. Why does the virgin one seem a bit messed up? The sky one is always correct

It is not only that channel in particular. All the movie channels seem to have duplicate films where it shows the same film twice when in actual fact another film is actually going to be shown. I can send more pictures if you do not understand what i mean. I have tried deleting the EPG and downloading it again and the same thing keeps happening

Strange

Virgin has EPG data for five days on the signal stream. You have decided you don't want to use the data they have and you to use internet based EPG data. IMO, just use EPG Importer.

You will have to keep an eye on changes and let Doglover know what they are, so he updates the files. Once he makes the changes and uploads to the server, when you receiver downloads the EPG data from the internet, it will be correct.

Before I would go hunting down non-existing errors, I checked one channel on my own receiver. (Boomerang) and compared it with the schedule on tvguide.

Boomerang
di 28.03.2017
The Tom & Jerry Show
07:15 - 07:30 (15 min.)

[Cartoons/Puppets] Pets Not Welcome (Season 1, Episode 36 of 52) [8.9] . [Cartoons/Puppets] (Season 1, Episode 36 of 52) [8.9]
Madcap slapstick and mayhem as the celebrated cat and mouse plot against each other. Cartoons/Puppets

Boomerang
di 28.03.2017
My Knight And Me
07:30 - 07:45 (15 min.)

[Cartoons/Puppets] Attack Of The 50ft Squire (Season 1) [7] . [Cartoons/Puppets] (Season 1) [7]
When Jimmy finds he's too small to complete a squire competition in gym class, he sneaks a swig of Perlin's magic growing potion and soon realizes that he drank way too much!. Cartoons/Puppets

Boomerang
di 28.03.2017
My Knight And Me
07:45 - 07:59 (14 min.)

[Cartoons/Puppets] The Helmet Of Epic [7] . [Cartoons/Puppets] [7]Jimmy gets a helmet that will make him a fearless super-warrior, and impress his dad, but the gear turns out to be a cursed 'baddie magnet'. Cartoons/Puppets

Boomerang
di 28.03.2017
Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated
07:59 - 08:30 (31 min.)

[Cartoons/Puppets] The Legend of Alice May (Season 1, Episode 6 of 26) [8.1] . [Cartoons/Puppets] (Season 1, Episode 6 of 26) [8.1]
A ghost girl is kidnapping boys at school dances, and lines up Fred as her next victim. Cartoons/Puppets

The schedule just seem correct to me. (remember I am in UTC+2 timezone)

If you experience problems with double entries - one hour apart, I recommend to erase all your EPG data and do a fresh import.

If you are using Crossepg (shame on you) do not forget to clear the Crossepg database also.

The reason for these double entries are within the DST change-over of last weekend. Although the grabber I am using is handling this, last weekend a number of channels got messed up. (approx 10%) This has corrected itself now. I have done absolutely nothing to correct it. Because I did not even know what could be done. f.i. one channel was wrong, and another was correct although both are grabbed from the same webpage using the same grabber definition. What should I change in such cases?

In one case I could prove that the website itself was to blame for the errors. This was the case for the Medialaan channels in Belgium (VTM, Q2 etc..)

Another problem - which still exist - is the problem that epg present in your receiver prior to the DST will be wrong after the DST. And in many case will remain there until it expires, because it is not overwritten (overwriting occurs only if the start times are the same). Therefore you need to erase all EPG in your receiver after the DST. (and in Crossepg also the Crossepg database)

In the EPGimport (XMLTVimport) plug-in there is a setting to erase all EPG prior to import.

I only use cross epg for my sky tuner because that grabs all the EPG even the HD ones which i know you can not watch. But i am using EPG importer for my virgin channels and i still get the double entries. I deleted my EPG and started again. I assume deleting the EPG means doing it again from fresh right?

There was an error in the grabber. See here: https://forums.openp...-21#entry691001

The new file is uploaded now. you can try again.

Deleting the EPG can be done with the importer. In the settings there is an option for it.

Ok I deleted the EGP like you said and used epg importer or obtain my EPG for my cable channels.

This has fixed the double entries but listings are still an hour off. So Mutiny for example is being shown on Channel 4 HD from 20:00 to 21:00 where as on virgin is saying from 21:00 to 22:00
