Hello,

 Vu+ Duo2, 3 lines, tuners A,B,C, D on C., 13°, 19,2° and 5.0W

I would like to know if maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I have tried all the way to use the CommonInterfaceAssignement plugin, but not working for what upon my advice must do:

I have one smartcard in a Ci+ cam module, dual descrambling. And for commodity, I am using Oscam for other channels.
I have to specify that I have the original smartcards, it's only for descrambling commodity.

When recording 1 channel in Cam module, even if using CommonInterfaceAssignment, impossible to watch another channel on the card in the CI module, even if on the same transponder.
And impossible too to watch an Oscam channel, only some, sometimes.

Worth if I try to insert the 2 Cam modules (both in Viaccess) at this point, nothing works, I can only have 1 module inserted.

Normally, this plugin has to "force" the listed channels in the assignement?

But with or without, I have no difference.

Can somebody tell me what is wrong?

Thanks for the help,

Raymond

Tested on OP 6. 6.2 and 7.1

Hi,

Please specify what are the module and the card in.

If you use a Fransat module with a card in it won't work since these module use CI+ (and no CI).

If you use BIS.tv card for both 13°E and 5°W it will be hard to make it properly working since they are using the same CAID:PROVID on both satellite.

May be the per service approach can work if they don't use the same ServiceID on both satellites.

For BIS with CI it is better to select one satellite and merge your subscription to have them all on the same satellite.

Hello and thanks for your answer,

I use Bis TV, v. 6, on 5.0W, and Rts (Sataccess.ch) on HotBird 13E, both on Viaccess and my modules are SmitSecure dual v 4.1.

Can you please explain this:

May be the per service approach can work if they don't use the same ServiceID on both satellites.

For BIS with CI it is better to select one satellite and merge your subscription to have them all on the same satellite.

I don't no what you mean, sorry,

You could try this way, as suggested also by Pr2:
CI1 (Bis) - add service - Tf1, etc.
CI2 (SRG) - add service - Rts1, etc.

For the SRG card you do not need a CI module. It works fine with Oscam in the normal cardslot.

Correct then there is no conflict betwee the two CI module on the CAID:PROVID so if you properly configured Common Interface Assignement this should work.

In OpenPLi 7.2 you will have an option to select a favorite/bouquet so if you have one with the SSR/SRG channels and another one with the BIS channels you will be able to easily assign the favorite to the CI Slot where you decode it.

Thanks for your anserws, but I need more explanations, sorry:

For the SRG card you do not need a CI module. It works fine with Oscam in the normal cardslot.

How do you do this? What do I have to do to configure this in order to have SRG card in the normal cardslot?

At the moment I am using Oscam not in this way...

In OpenPLi 7.2 you will have an option to select a favorite/bouquet so if you have one with the SSR/SRG channels and another one with the BIS channels you will be able to easily assign the favorite to the CI Slot where you decode it.

Ok, When in stable release, I will upgrade immediately.

Thanks

Another question, following my reflexions on my problems:

If I switch for a Vu+ Duo4K, with the right tuners DVB-S2 FBC tuners (45308X), will I be able to have the channels in multistream, decoded, with access on multi channels at the same time?

And it seems to me that OP support multistream from 7.1, right?

Thanks for the answer, sorry, but, being a big tv consumer (due to health problems, a lot of time in front of the tv) I really would like to be able to watch and record multi channels at the same time without decoding problems.

PS: And in OP, if I add Iptv, can I record IPTV too?

Thanks

Yes, you are correct. I thought that MPEG-TS streams will record just fine, but it is not the case. Too bad :(

Then it isn't DVB standard compliant, which is what the hardware requires.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

How did you record it? With a 1:0:... service ref? Do you have a .ts file on your disk or a .stream file?

You talked about recording MPEG-TS impossible, what is this format, is that IPTV or streams on satellite ?

If streams on satellite are not recordable, what is the interest for another Vu+?

Satellite, câble or terrestrial all that is DVB standard will record and play fine.

When talking about IPTV is somehow borderline, in France you have Molotov but no player for E2 based receivers.

So illegal IPTV limit to one stream, and recording automatically needs 2 streams. So you cannot record illegal IPTV services.
