Hi everyone,

so today i got my brand new toy box Maxytec Multibox 4K / UHD for test and try.

i bought it, because specially it is everywhere (from the manufacturer to e.g. Amazon) described as:

- Hardware blindscan function

unfortunately, this feature is not available at all (neither with openpli nor with openatv image, all tested). the plugin simply doesn work!

what's up with this manufacturer/distributor? he spreads lies in the product description and every dealer copies it.

i am very disappointed. i would never have bought this box if I had known that this feature was missing.

it is a pity, because the box is very sensitive to weak signals (e.g. Amos 4°W ME Beam). And maybe, is could be a secret tip for the sat dx reception

it does not matter that the box offers no multistream or no pls support.
but blindscan is not only a nice feature, but a must have.
(especially if the product is advertised with it!)

Binsche

Hello! it may be too early for you to worry about this matter! I think you should write a letter to the one who writes for your driver receiver. (If there is no answer, then never buy this brand again under any circumstances)

Excellent

This is quite usual for settopboxes. They generally have blindscan capable tuners but the manufacturer needs to supply a supporting binary and they often don't. That is, as said, not specific to Maxytec.

If you're going to want to do blindscan (and several other features as well), don't rely on the sale flyer, ask other buyers.

try the blind scan from this site

http://pur-e2.club/O...ir=6.3/maxytec/

extract Blindscan form rootfs.tar.bz2 with 7zip

it worked for my H7S ( I extracted it the same way from the H7S image)

Aber du hast dann sicher einen anderen Demod in der H7S und nicht den AVL6862?

Wenn ich in der Beschreibung lese...

"Zgemma H7S comes with 2x Satellite DVB-S2X tuners and 1x Hybrid Cable / Terrestrial DVB-C/T2 tuner"

1x Twin/Dual DVB-S2X (vermutlich MIS und PLS tauglich) und ein separater Demod für DVB-C/T2

Das wird nicht funktionieren...

_supportNimType = {'AVL1208': '', 'AVL6222': '6222_', 'AVL6211': '6211_', 'BCM7356': 'bcm7346_', 'SI2166': 'si2166_'}
_unsupportedNims = (
 'Vuplus DVB-S NIM(7376 FBC)', 'Vuplus DVB-S NIM(45308X FBC)', 'DVB-S2 NIM(45308 FBC)')
_blindscans2Nims = (
 'TBS-5925', 'DVBS2BOX', 'M88DS3103')

:(

yes, the tuner is different one, 2xSi2169D (DVB-S2X) and one Si2168 (Combined DVB-C2/T2), I didn´t mean that the plugin is interchangeable, did you test it on your box, there was no blind scan for H7S at all, I tested it from that site and worked, well,I have only Astra 19.2 and Eutelsat 16.0, I´m not aware of that it needs some binaries, it just worked

hi mrvica,

i think you have misunderstood my previous posting. of course i can download and install the openpli blindscan plugin without problems, but it is without function in the state screen.

the scan does not start, only there is a screen, that it seems the manufacturer does not support the feature blindscan (for this model).

i do not have to "rent"  the blindscan plugin from another image  :D  Unfortunately there are no drivers avaible, to support the blindscan although the triple (combined) demod AVL6862 seems to be blindscan ready.

@ Erik Slagter, i found this:
But that´s for Edision OS Mini, does it help?

i do not have to "rent"  the blindscan plugin from another Image

if it works, consider it as 3rd party plugin, we remain faithful to OpenPLi
