Enigma2 actually do not support subfolders in user bouquets list.... that explains when you try it you got them on one root directory.

here is supported, only problem is i got them on one root directory when adding to parental control

in all other ways it works correctly

Hi WanWizzard :) ,

Ah, it's not a release, it is an 7.2-rc, a test image.

If the box starts but you see a spinner, most logical assumption is you have a mount defined that no longer exists. The mount connect timeout is 120 seconds.

I've done another flash today and I have the same problem, and when I went to see the network links, there were a lot of additional links. In fact, it takes very old links which don't exist since a very long time and it takes a 20 minutes to destroy them. After it runs well :) .

Then, as it takes also very old settings, which was not the case with the previous versions, I decided to flash with not keeping settings. At the end, I copied timers.xml and settings in the Vu+, then I re flashed again but it also took very old settings. I've done this operation 3 times ans the result was the same. It never erases the previous configurations????

;)

You may have a backup somewhere, and have that restored after the flash. It tells you it found one when the image boots after flash.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

OK but as my HDD have "broken", I use another disk which have no historic backups. And in which backup does it takes these informations : in the directory 'backup' (it is created by autobackup? or in the directory 'fullbackup_ultimo4k' created by backupsuite?

I think it would be in 'backup' but there is no history, only the last one.

Thank you Wanwizard :) .

It is not enabled in the vendors linux kernel config:

# CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_IUU is not set

I'll see what I can do.

Hi WanWizard,

I have a friend with a Smargo not running on his H9 with 7.2. Can you please check if the diver for this device (Bus 002 Device 003: ID 0403:6001 Future Technology Devices International, Ltd F

232 Serial (UART) IC) is present? Also, can you send me H9 kernel config file please?

Bests,

LittleJoe CH

This device is supported by the kernel-module-ftdi-sio package.

It is enabled in the defconfig, but only recently: https://github.com/z...e1986978e8ea0b5. So it's not present in 7.2-release, it wlll be in 7.3-release.

edit: you can pass this one on to your friend.

Thanks a lot! Confirmed Working.  :thumbs-up:

Could you please include also the CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_IUU in the next releases kernel or let the kernel module available to optionnaly install?

That is going to take a while, it will require vendor updates to their BSP, we don't maintain the kernels.

I think Littlesat has already answered you?

in my opinion he did not understand the question, because if enigma does not support favorites subfolders, then how to explain that subdirectories are created and work fine

You can create them manually, but not with the standard user interface or settings editors...one manually altered they can work temporary in the userinterface but due to it is not designed/specified in it suddenly goes mad (eg they are recognized as unlinked bouquet... etc...)
It needs a loting code to adapt to get this working as you wished as simply e2 nor settings editors not the webibterface are designed for it.
You can add alternatives in userbouquets but that is a differenr feature than subfolders.

OK thank anyway for your great help.

I'll try to create a cross compiler env. to compile de modules by myself in case of kernel version change on my Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS running on x86-64.

Any advice on good post to start with?

Thanks,

LJ

Well, I understand you, of course it's sad because for iptv it is very convenient.

thanks for the explanation ))

Is look nice to have tons of IPTV services in the userbouquets... but it is as I suggest only helpfull for favorite channels that you egualary view...

Maybe it is ten times better to make a plugin where you can add and read (multiple) m3u files for IPTV and arrange the browsing through it via a plugin with search and 'groups'... and add of course an option add a service (or group) to a (favorite) userbouquet... Even for e.g. Hanssat Settings this might be a(n big) improvement.

Setup a build environment (see https://wiki.openpli..._for_Developers), change the kernel defconfig for your box, and use a bitbake build command to build the module.

people are starting to watch IPTV more and more and each provider has a minimum of 500 to 1000 channels.
they are mainly sorted into groups of about 10-15 groups each.So if you have 3-4 iptv providers that is 30-50 groups.
30-40 groups in favorites root directory is crazy.in many cases, the group names of all providers are almost the same and here the confusion begins.
if only the provider’s folder and there are 500-1000 channels in it, you get tired of turning over to find your channel ))))
still more convenient Provider in root with him subgroups.it's just my opinion, just thinking out loud )))
