If that is the problem you want to solve, if it were up to me, I would create "hasEPGbutton" and "hasINFObutton" in systeminfo, and then in the wizard, do "if hasEPGbutton ask where to map it to; if hasINFObutton ask where to map it to".

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

That does also not work as the info and epg buttons can be swapped.... Then you have four options...

hasEPGbuttondoingEPGbutton

hasEPGbuttondoingINFObutton

hasINFObuttondoingEPGbutton

hasINFObuttondoingINFObutton

(LOL)

And also this does not work as you also have boxes that can support different remote controls... (except for first start of E2 of course).

I hope you now get any idea that this is not easy to create and it adds a big pile of spaghetti code..

or such style?...

hasEPGbutton = box in (x, y, z) and 'doingEPG' or box in (a, b, c) and 'doingINFO'

hasINFObutton = box in (n, m, p ) and 'doingEPG' or box in (q, r, s) and 'doingINFO'

Then indeed I can limit them also to EPG functions in an easy way for the Wizard...

First issue.... MAP the info/EPG keys over all those boxes (and remotes)....

So what exactly is wrong with the current "select on first use" open?

We do it on first touch -or- add something to the wizard -or- do nothing....

You wrote before that the current setup is to show a list of options when you first press the EPG or INFO button. Which is fine by me. And then that you wanted to change it. So I ask "why"?

As you described the complexity, that (now) seems like a bad idea to me.

I wonder which is the right way to report bugs, do you have any bug tracking system? Or just open new threads under enduser support forum?

Best to report them first here so at least we can verify what’s up...

We have a bug tracking system, but nobody is using it, so posting in the forum is your best bet, and then hope someone picks it up before it is forgotten...

About Opera browser and HBBTV.

In DUO4K specification we can read that the box is compatible with these two softwares.but there is no plugin to download for that.

Why ?

I assume this has to do with licenses which aren’t paid by Vu+ or any other manufacturer.
