Hi. Lunching Web-x-tv I get a red screen. I'm using Firefox 3 DM500 and VLC 0.8.6i. Steaming to my PC with VLC works fine.
Does anyone have an idea what is wrong?

Did you install the vlc mozilla plugin? The vlc installer doesn't install it by default.

Go to about:plugins or Tools->Add-ons->Plugins to check if it's really installed.

Yes, npvlc.dll is in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins

That doesn't prove it. In fact I've never encountered the dll over there.
It might even cause the problem if the other vlc dll's aren't in the same directory as npvlc.dll.

Well, after installing VLC and lunching Web-x-tv (by Firefox) I got a MS Visual C++ Runtime Error R6304. In order to resolve the Runtime Error I was told to copy the npvlc.dll into the Firefox Plugin directory.
After doing that the Runtime Error never showed again and I was able to use Web-x-tv.
Since that day no rweaking no installing or uninstalling apps.
Iremoved the npvlc.dll from Firefox Plugin dir. and now Web-x-tv is workung, but I keep getting the same old Runtime Error.
I have to close the Web-x-tv 2 or 3 times and rhe Runtime Error R6304 does not show up and Web-x-tv works fine.

Hi Sjaaky

By the nature of the problem I guess I'll have to fix something in the registry.

Any how thanks for trying to help, and this is the to say that Pli Jade is great.

A nice weekend to all.

Those runtime errors sound familiar. I'm going to update web-x-tv to use the new vlc-api. It is supposed to be more stable.

You'll have to wait until Jade final is released.
