Recently I started using DreamboxEdit to edit the channel list on my Mut@nt HD500c with OpenPLI 2018-06-20-release-6.2.

Unfortunately, after having removed all channels that aren't in the basic tv package (no subscription for those) they keep ending up appearing back in the default bouquet after a while.

Then I thought, maybe disabling the automatic scanning setting helps, and/or disabling the setting to delete all channels before scanning. Those settings get automatically reset to enabled, immediately after leaving that menu. No clue as of why.

After that I copied all channels that are in the basic package to the favorites bouquet. But after having done that, that list doesn't start at channel number 1, but currently 85 channel numbers further. Once the default list gets reset (again), I expect the favorites bouquet to start somewhere after 200. Either way, that makes the favorites list unusable.

I don't suppose anyone knows what's going wrong here?

If you use an pre-defined channel list downloaded from the feed it will be update with online update.

You cannot interfered in the all channels (red button) so always create your own favourite.

Once you have uploaded your favourite, go in the list with all the different favourites. Press the button Menu and there you will have an option 6 enable move select it.
Press OK on your own favourite it will change its colour then with the arrow keys up down move it to the first position.
Press again menu and select again 6 disable move mode.
So now your own favourite is a position 1 and numbering in it will start at 1.

First of, sorry for the delayed answer, wanted to make sure about something. For some reason, OpenPLI is now remembering the channel list modifications, has been for over 2 weeks. No clue what changed. Maybe the disabling of scanning and the delete channels before scanning settings does work, even though they keep resetting the second I leave the menu.

I'm talking about the all channels list here, both radio and tv. The channels that I deleted (the ones not in the subscription) haven't been restored. So somehow the changes seem to stick now.

If you use an pre-defined channel list downloaded from the feed it will be update with online update.

Like a channel list found online somewhere? Not using one of those.

I'm using dreamboxedit, not the menu's on the decoder itself, but for some reason editing the all channels list now works.

Noted, thanks :)

You have no control on the All channel list, you have only control on the favourite/userbouquet.
If you have background scan enabled the channels are found in background and automatically added into the All channels list.
This one is for reference only and should not be used for daily usage.
