Hello,

As for each update I have done, I start from scratch (as my Duo2 doesn't like update), I have to create each time a new timer list. And I have a lot of timers.

So, isn't that possible to have a timer list backup function?

Because the solutions that we can found on the web are always a little bit complicated and not so sure to work (DCC, Telnet replacing Timers.xml, etc...)

This will be a good add-on to OP.

Thanks for considering.

And keep doing such a good job, OP is  :thumbs-up:

You would like to have a kind of stripped backup configuration.

A simple solution is to save your timers.xml on your system and after having configured your box, init 4, put the saved timers.xml on the right place and init 3. Timers are back.

timers. xml is part of the autobackup but TS is not using autobackup.

2 x ultimo4k (dvb-c fbc + 1 dvb-s2, 8.3r/nb) + een et10k/osmini (geen tuners en dus fallbackclient, nb) met een Synology ds214+ (2 x 6 TB) op DSM 7.1.1 in ziggo oost (voormalig @Home) + A1/A2/A3/HB (TechniSat)

TS could opt to use the autobackup, but not restore it automatically. You can then restore the timers.xml manually from the backup tarball...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Thanks, but what are init 3 and init 4? Are they telnet command?

Init 4 etc are indeed telnet commands.
As I read your replies you’d better read first a lot before you actually perform any telnet actions.

No need to be confused. ;) The only thing I intended to say with my previous remark is if you even do not know what init 4 and init 3 intend to do, you seem not to be aware of the basic commands of telnet. I am also a beginner regarding the use of commands in telnet so I am careful when using this. ;)

Other members already mentioned that you could use autobackup / restore of data. All timers will be restored too.
