For streaming encrypted channels it kinda depends how long decryption requires, if I switch to encrypted one and open the stream immediately, in some cases if you do it to early, you see black picture only, but if you wait 30-60 seconds, picture should come. Restarting the stream fixes it. I am not really watching encrypted channels but when I did, I used to face it. If your server streams encrypted channels as decrypted, you do not need on your receiver side the cam, only if you send stream encrypted you need it, but that is something you did not describe. Like you were told before, please try it with non encrypted channel first.

After writting that record is black stream I am almost 100% sure that you do not decrypt your streams when saving, there is option in WebIf where you can set it.

One more experiment.

I have 2 streams: both on VU+ ultimo 4K:

STB is Off. Open stream 1 in VLC. black screen. is streaming, but black stream. I see packets in wireshark. then I ZAP with OpenWebIf to channel channel 1... in several seconds I already see a picture.
Then, STB is still off. I open Stream 2. same effect. it's streaming black screen. Then I ZAP to channel 2, and in several seconds I see a picture.
Then I open my stream 3, STB is off. And I see a picture in 2 seconds, no need to ZAP!

I assume maybe it's help. As I mentioned, it's problem only with dual tuner STB!

If VLC doesn't complain about the lack of incoming data, it receives a valid stream. If it's black, chances are it is not decoded.

A quick check is to enable subtitles in VLC, as they are never encoded. If you see subtitles, but no sound or image, you have a smartcard / cam issue.

The fact that image is restored when you zap on the box supports that, because then the box starts decoding.

That's happens only on VU Ultimo 4K with 2 tuners. I have the same openPli on VU+ Uno4K, this one works fine, no issues!

for me it's looks like a bug.

seems boki15 is right. when I stream unencypted cahnnel from DVB-S, then it's strem without issues.

Then I haqve a question. where i can setup, to unencrypt my straeming channels?

You right. unencrypted stream works from DVB-S. but when I stream encrypted stream, waiting even for several minutes or restart a stream does not work.

Do you use a CI module? Or a smartcard with softcam? And if so, which softcam and which version?

CI modules are limited to one transponder only, and some only to one channel on that transponder, not all CI modules can handle multiple services, even if the card can.

Some softcams (p.e. CCcam) versions can not decode more than one channel.

Hello,

So, the question is still open :( why in standby mode on V+ Ultimo4K with DVB-S & DVB-T tuners I can't stream encrypted channels.

And on my V+ Uno4K it's not a problem

Hello,

So, the question is still open :( why in standby mode on V+ Ultimo4K with DVB-S & DVB-T tuners I can't stream encrypted channels.

And on my V+ Uno4K it's not a problem

Ed

I stream about 4-6 hours a day from my Ultimo 4K containing DVB S2 FBC, DVB-C FBC and a twin DVB-S2 tuners. I never notice any issues with streaming from my Ultimo 4K.
