I agree. What a terrible way to use this motor.
With USALS I am ready within 30 seconds. Apart from the first hardware setup offcourse.
With this short test i was able to setup AStra 19.2 and Astra 23.5. It works also on the twin so I end my tests and return tu USALS.

I have a Zgemma H9 Combo 4k which has the S2166D tuner and is connected to a Technomate Diseqc H2H motor. It works perfectly with Open PLi versions 7.1 and 7.2, although the motor doesn't move as fast compared to when it is connected to other receivers. I notice the Zgemma only has 3 Amp power supply which is probably the minimum requirement to drive a motor and might explain the speed, it works OK though. The setup picks up satellites from 42E to 1W and I use a combination 'Use USALS' or 'Set position' depending on the satellite as I find USALS does not always provide me with the optimum signal strength on some of the satellites, I think this is due to the amount of mechanical play some of these Diseqc mounts exhibit. The setup that Frenske has posted is correct, it should be noted that in this mode the position has to be found and then stored manually in the Postioner Menu, I always find this part of the menu system awkward and clumsy. When setting the position number I always try and choose memorable numbers, eg. 28 for 28E, 19 for 19E and 1 for 1W, these positions are stored directly in the mount so in theory, once they have been set, you don't have to reposition anything. You can even change the receiver and as long you use the same mode, when the receiver sends the monut the position number, it will know where to move. The same is true if you go full USALS of course.
I have no idea what that LNB setup is that you've described, I've never seen anything like it! I assume it is just for 36", so that satellite would use an LNB2 specific setting? I don't understand the switching mechanism between the 2 LNBs. Why not remove that part, connect straight to the motor and get all the other satellites working, then add the second LNB setup so that you can eliminate the problem areas?
