We have no control over it, it is the tzdata package that generates it. No idea why "Canary" is wrong, but "Cape_Verde" is ok...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

https://en.wikipedia...iki/Tz_database says:

The time zones have unique names in the form "Area/Location", e.g. "America/New_York".

A choice was also made to use English names or equivalents, and to omit punctuation and common suffixes. The underscore character is used in place of spaces. Hyphens are used where they appear in the name of a location. The Area and Location names have a maximum length of 14 characters.

"Canary_Islands" is 14 characters, so that is not the reason, so many it falls under "common suffixes"?

I just found your post and wanted to let you know that I have changed the Timezones.py code to correct the name "Canary" to "Canary Islands".  Please let me know if there is still an issue after the next firmware update.

Regards,

Ian.
