I was wondering whether the experienced community here has some recommendations on HDMI surround sound amplifiers?

My current setup consist of an XBox, a VU+ Duo 4k and a Sony Home Cinema with 2 HDMI IN and 1 HDMI OUT with ARC support to my TV

Despite having CEC on and configured to the best I can, the Sony just does whatever it likes sometimes, and I have to get out the remote to manually switch it to the correct HDMI Input. Sometimes while using any of the smart-features on the TV (Netflix, Youtube, etc.) it switches over to "TV" (Optical in) and I lose sound and have to go back to the hub and manually change the port back and then restart the app...

The BluRay drive in the Sony died, and the onlines services *it* supports are either dead or useless.  So it really is not more - at this point - than a 5.1 surround HDMI amplifier.

So I am looking to replace the above with a solution that is

1) Affordable

2) Low Profile (Don't have that much space (14cm high; 33 cm deep and 45 cm wide) to work with)

3) Supports at least 3 HDMI IN and 1 HDMI OUT with ARC, so I can connect:
  - VU+ Duo 4k

  - XBox
  - A (low profile) BluRay player (so I can finally watch my DVDs and BRDs again!)

4) Supports at least 5.1 surround with the usual output formats (AC3, DTS, etc.)

5) Does not add a lot of complexity (doesn't need to be "smart"), but does allow speaker calibration (auto-calibration with a microphone would be nice, but isn't mandatory)

6) Affordable

I am open for alternative suggestions as long as it lets me watch movies, sat tv and play games on the XBox, without using the TV as the HDMI Hub (cannot fit more than one HDMI cable through the conduits)

BTW, did I say I want it to be affordable? A couple of hundred Euros is ok, but 1k is definitely NOT! (The WAF is coupled to functionality vs price!)

-- WaveFrontier T90 with LNBs on 13.0E, 19.2E, 23.5E & 28.2E, 17/12 dedicated GSO switch (Sharing the sat signal with the neigbours!)

-- Canal Digitaal DVB-S2[x]: 1x Vu+ Duo 4k (FBC Dual), 1x Xpeed LX S2 (dead-ish), 1x ET-9000 (unused and not updated for ages)

-- Ziggo DVB-C: 1x Vu+ Duo 4k (FBC)
