What is that? And why would you need it?
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Menu -> Plugins, green Download, cache flush, it is just doing
echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches
nothing more, there are a few plugins doing the same, clearmem too, I made clearmem lite (without memory info cause in the image)

Infact on my decoder MutantHD51 i dont need this, while on m my old zgemma h2h is better whith this

That tread completely misses the problem, probably due to lack of platform knowledge.
The issue here is that the broadcom ethernet drivers don't support scatter/gather, which is required to deal with fragmented memory. Which means that if you have a lot of network activity (streaming, no local disk but a NAS), you might bump into the problem described in that thread.
For normal STB use, even with recording/playback via the network, it is never a problem, not even on an old box.
I guess people encountering this are illegal IPTV streamers...

Do not know whether it uses a lot with regard to the 'illegal IPTV ...) mentioned.
Most boxes don't need it either.
Octagon sf4008 (not supported by pli), however, has a memory problem, which according to the experience of the users is mitigated with cacheflush / clearmen.
Gigablue 4k also has a memory problem and therefore a lack of internal swapping, here too, according to user experience, cache flush / clearmem improves.
The problems of both boxes are jerky themselves with their own recordings, that shouldn't be.
