Hi,

I have this card but it doesn't work on OpenPLi.

Could you add the driver please?

Alternatively, could you point me in the right direction how to setup a build environment to build it?

Thanks

There are patches for latest kernel here: https://github.com/tbsdtv/linux_media

First you need to become familiar with image building.

https://wiki.openpli..._for_Developers

Once you have your own build, you need to get the TBS5520SE driver code from tbsdtv github.

https://github.com/t...usb/tbs5520se.c
https://github.com/t...usb/tbs5520se.h

Plus the dependencies of that tbs5520se.

#include "si2183.h"
#include "si2157.h"
#include "av201x.h"
And make a patch for your kernel.

Plus fix the driver to support properly the two tuners.

I think the following is a hack.

	/* dvb core doesn't support 2 tuners for 1 demod so
	   we split the adapter in 2 frontends */

	adap->fe_adap[0].fe2 = &adap->fe_adap[0]._fe2;
	memcpy(adap->fe_adap[0].fe2, adap->fe_adap[0].fe, sizeof(struct dvb_frontend));

Not an easy task, and if you don't have any programming skills, that would be a really huge task!

@athoik

Thanks for replying. I will try to do what you suggest.

Why 5520 is supported and 5520SE is not?

Could you build that module easily?

I am not sure if 5520 is supported.

Years ago, I manage to create patches for TBS5980 and TBS5925, for many kernels, based on patches available from linux-dvb list.

For TBS5980 and TBS5925, those days, I am using patches directly from TBSDTV github sources, on osmio4k/osmio4k+/osmini4k that already have (very, very, very) recent kernel.

https://github.com/s...d-TBS5925.patch

So if you have a box with recent kernel, it might be easier task ;)

@athoik

I have:

Vu+ Zero (3.13.5)

Vu+ Solo2 (3.13.5)

Vu+ Uno (3.9.6)

Octagon SF8008 (4.4.35)

Octagon SF4008 (didn't check the kernel version)

ZgemmaH7C (4.10.12)

Any chance on these?

Thanks!

I would start playing with ZgemmaH7C (4.10.12) since it has the most newer kernel version.

It would be a great adventure ;)

Enjoy the trip!

I have TBS 5520se too and TBS 5925. Tests using OpenVision, Vu zero and Zero 4k working fine 5925 (both devices). For zero4k, 5925 working only after Persian Prince add patch.

Only we have blindscan problem for zero4k, but zero, blindscan ok.

We need add 5520se too.
