in the zeus branch on h9combo the ac3 audio does not work

only the primary mpeg track in English works

the Italian language remains silent on the mediaset bouquet

There is a problem with the sound ac3 when assembling with ffmpeg 4.0%.Need to collect with ffmpeg 3.4.2.

Is the problem of all Hisi boxes.
They have long needed an update of the internal player there.

Hisi was therefore also fixed separately to ffmpeg 3.4.2 in the OE Alliance.
As it looks, nothing changes.

No it's not a problem of all Hisi boxes. Why does Multbox for example work....

 

FFMpeg 3.4.2 is used in develop branch and it doesn't need any fix for Hisilicon chipset. Probably oe-alliance made some workarounds for a manufacture/model??

Hisi didn't bring fix for 3.4.2, I said that too!
3.4.2 is the only good ffmpeg currently running for Hisi.
So it was found here too.

All Hisi boxes are the same.
Built with 4.2, it no longer works properly.
If zeus is built, current ffmpeg 3.4.2 for Hisi should be maintained.
Or there is a fix from Hisi manufacturer. I can't imagine that.

I find it on my Hisilicon box actually good running.

When there are issues with 4.2 it's better to explain what the issues are. So it can been check and how to solve it.

Because the libs installed on Zgemma h9combo wants to have ffmpeg 3.4.2 you cannot get rid of that version.
Newer ffmpeg version for example Kodi needs to be installed besides it.

And as usual I must make the remakt that the branch called "zeus" is more sort of a research facility. It's not the branch that will be used for generating "zeus" images anytime soon!

because on zgemma kodi runs very well and you can do without spending money on hybrid boxes

There is not yet a Kodi19 release and no kodi19 BSP layer available. So on this two points it's still waiting for the releases.

Openpli isn't even Kodi18 compatibel why I do not really know as all the Openembedded branches in de PLi tree works fine. Maybe some minor issues will need to been fix but I see not really a reason why Openpli hold it back on sumo, thud and now zeus.

 

I hope Openpli will go further with Zeus and that soon a prebuild is made. Before you know it's already old. Damn it probably is as latest  branch is dunfell.

Is it already released? Latest I see on github is version 18.9.
I do not know if zeus is required for it.
