Did you check that in the setup the GUI language is still set into arabic?

Was there a font change in the skin that doesn't support Arabic characters?

I go into the language selection screen and I select Arabic immediately I am prompted with the question in arabic to confirm the language change.

Did you install some other skins for test that can have potentially overwrite the font.

May be try:

opkg update
opkg install enigma2-fonts --force-reinstall
opkg install enigma2-plugin-skins-pli-hd --force-reinstall
init 4
Wait a little bit:

reboot

Always use "DejaVuSans.ttf" font for RTL languages, you'll see why I'm suggesting this.

Most of other fonts can't even display Persian language correctly ...

Probably that the plugin that you install change the default font. So after you uninstall it everything is back to normal.

The yellow night skin might have older fonts... I would recommend to change to the blue one... the yellow one is end of live and not updated anymore.

Because our both full hd skins have not packaged own fonts and part for fonts is identical (cosmetic changes in size), then is your answer nonsence...

He had to rewrite pli e2 fonts (LiberationSans-Regular.ttf) with strange version or he had to modify definition in skin.xml.
