Hi All

I used to have UPNP Renderer in my previous image (NEWNIGMA) and it was working fine in my DM8000.
I needed to switch image to OpenPLI as I found it really more reliable for my old dreambox, it is definitely more stable, however I cannot find any renderer in OpenPLI

Recently I found this thread for Cocy plugin.

I have the same issue as many other users - when installing the final ipk I got message that python-dev is missing. It is not part of OpenPLI image

root@dm8000:/var/volatile/tmp# opkg install /tmp/enigma2-plugin-cocy_0.2.1.ipk
Collected errors:
* calculate_dependencies_for: Cannot satisfy the following dependencies for enigma2-plugin-cocy:
* python-dev *
* opkg_solver_install: Cannot install package enigma2-plugin-cocy.

Where can I download the right python-dev for this plugin?

Thanks

No idea why it would need python-dev, that contains header files you need if you want to compile using the Python C-API.

It doesn't contain any runtime files.

From what I can see it's an UPNP server, in which case doesn't the dlnaserver plugin not do what you want?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Hi

The UPNP renderer I had in Newnigma2 image was able to render channels within home network. I was able to watch dreambox channels in my bedroom with simple network player.

I hoped to get the same functionality from that.

DLNA server, as far as I know, stream media files saved in hdd.

Is there other plugin I could stream channels in my home network?

Hi , this is the content of my python-dev package, but really depend on what python version you have.

Attached Files

init 2 && init 3

Also you can try to build yourself the python for your machine, the build process will create the python-dev package too.

init 2 && init 3

Hi athoik

Thanks for links to newer version of CoCy, 0.4.1  The latest I found was 0.2.1

I did install this extension and I see it within my Extensions (in remove list)

however I cannot see Cocy within plugins and I don't know how it works.

I do not see anything new in my home network, no DM rendering, so it seems the plugin is not working.

Could you please help on it?

Perhaps I need to install 0.2.2 version - on github is says it is compatible with OpenPLI 6.2

The postinstall of the package is using pip to install additional components, OpenPLi doesn't have pip in the image.

Hi

On github it says Cocy 0.2.2 is compatible with OpenPLI 6.2

unless I am mistaken by this statement...

Do I need to install something else, PIP?

While installation on Cocy 0.4.1  (it does not allow me to downgrade to 0.2.2 now) I got message I shall update pip from 8.1 to current version 20.1 which I did.

Still no joy however.

Always an issue with binary packages. It would be easier to have the recipies to build it, so all dependencies are resolved automatically.

Question is who is going to do that?

You can downgrade if you first remove the previous version with opkg remove

init 2 && init 3

I found this file in  /etc/cocy/config  so it looks alright.

Hi All

I have installed python-dev so I think this thread can be closed.

However, the plugin still doesn't work   :(
