SSD van de ET9500 werkt niet in de GB UHD 4K.

GigaBlue UHD-4K is vandaag aangekomen, OpenPli 7.2 geinstalleerd ... en scannen maar.  6000 of zo kanalen gevonden, ging dus beter (en sneller) dan met de ET4000-jes.  Webinterface werkt ook stukken sneller.

Ik had gehoopt de SSD van de ET9500 gewoon te kunnen overhevelen, maar die wordt niet goed herkend (1GB ipv 500 GB of zo)

Dat is apart, aannemende dat de SSD gewoon in de box is geformateerd, moet daar geen verschil in zitten.

 

Herstart de box eens, en post daarna eens de output van het dmesg commando?

Ik was wel ergens tegengekomen dat je EXT3 en EXT2 kon installeren; 3 heb ik geinstalleerd maar die geeft blijkbaar een error.

De ET9500 waar de schijf in zat had al 6.2, maar het zou kunnen dat die schijf er al in stak toen er maar 4.0 op stond ... ik weet niet welke filesystemen dan mogelijk waren.

SSD is een Crucial MX500, die SM2258AB-10-00831000 in de log slaat op de controller chip die er in zit.

Aannemende dat je niet ook een USB stick aangesloten hebt, ziet linux de disk als 1GB ;).

Als ik even Google, dan zie ik meer mensen met  dit problem, ook in Windows. Maar weinig oplossingen.
 
Ik heb een hele stapel MX-500's in gebruik, zonder problemen, dus een structureel probleem met deze drives lijkt me niet aan de orde.
 
Je zou eens een SMART check kunnen doen:

opkg install smartmontools
smartctl -i /dev/sda

Dus die herkent de disk wel juist. Dat is al wat.

 

Normaal zou mijn reactie zijn "er is een bios update nodig", maar dat is wat lastig bij een STB ;).

 

Misschien zijn er hardware experts in de zaal?

Dat suggereert dat er een oude partition table op staat.

 

Wat gebeurt er als je gewoon probeert 't ding te mounten?

mkdir /media/hdd
mount /dev/sda1 /media/hdd

?

Om de een of andere obscure reden is de disk nu plots wel beschikbaar ???

Kan dat zijn door die commandos uit te voeren ?

Werkt het na een herstart ook nog? En na een deep standby, even van de stroom afhalen, en weer aanzetten?

Veiligheidshalve toch maar eens gecheckt ... na deep standby en stroom af werkt het nog steeds.  En ook vanop een andere receiver, blijheid gegarandeerd.

 

Dan kan ik mij nu terug concentreren op de gebrekkige werking van de switches op de ET4000jes :angry:
