I have setup movieplayer in the Jade pli version like described in the wiki. When I choose the movieplayer option on my dreambox, I can see all the movie files available on the folder on my PC, so the connection works. But when I select a file to play, a window "buffering'" appears, but the percentage counter stays at 0% and nothing appears to be happening. On my pc however, I see that VLC is playing the file already. After about 10 seconds, on the dreambox, the buffering window disappears and the file selection screen re-appears. On top of the window the message "a streaming error occurred" is displayed. I tried various files (avi, mpeg2) and I tried with VLC versions 0.8.6e, 0.8.6i and 0.9.4. I also tried on 2 different pc's with the same results. Any ideas how I can troubleshoot this?
Thanks

Use 0.86i and try change "Timeout in seconds" or "Buffer size" in Options of movieplayer. Is your net busy ?

i downloaded a few other divx files and they do play so there it works. So, there must be something wrong with my initial test files. Strange...
thanks anyway
