Hello,

I have a Zgemme H7S running OpenPli 6.2, before OpenPli 4. Fixed IP

I have a Synology NAS on my network and a W10 PC with shared disk.

In my opinion, the NAS should be mounted as CIFS and my PC disk as NFS. Is that correct ??

If I try to change a setting in for the NAS or the disk, once done I click OK to activate the change. That operation take a lot of time : at least 15-20 min., rebooting or not.

I did not find an explanation !

Please help !

Félix

No.

If possible use NFS. As Synology offers that, use it (you need to configure it though). Windows doesn't use NFS, so you can only use CIFS.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Hello

Is there better explanation for https://wiki.openpli.org/Data_sharing? Screen in image does not have same options like on site :( and i can not mount my share. In other image 2-3 clicks enter password and i got mounted my Win10 share. I try for hours and can`t get workign here on VU+ Uno 4k SE, new flashed image. I like this image and like to stay. Can anyone point me to some post or how to make it working? i search but i found only this one.

Thanx

Is sharing active on your W10 PC? Is the firewall allowing incoming connections?

Current screen is indeed slightly different, I think the screenshots are from OpenPLi 4. I have:

Attached File  1_0_2_D75C_82F_2_11A0000_0_0_0_20201121145004.jpg   61.22KB   4 downloads

Don't fill in the "Mount options" field, OpenPLi will autodetect these settings when you activate the mount.

Of course it`s shared, other image find PC find Phone find Router and mount it instant, no need to fill anything just fill user and pass and it`s in list. Than i gi in Media player 2 and share it`s there and working.

Problem is that ONLY this image does not find any share on ip`s except VU+ himself and his shares, rest are empty. :(

I think CIFS share don`t work at all only NFS works.

I got this error when i try to mount from Telnet:

mount: can`t find //192.168.1.2/MyShare in etc/fstab

Edit: I manage to mount with this Command. But it does NOT work as should.

# mount -t cifs -o username=user,password=pass //192.168.1.2/MyShare /hdd

That is exactly what Enigma does under the hood. I just tried one from my SF8008 to my Duo 4K (I don't have Windows), and it works fine.

If you want to verify or check it and what goes wrong, restart Enigma in debug mode in the menu, and when restarted, restart it again in normal mode (to avoid the log filling the disk).

Then go to the root home directory, where you should find an enigma-{date}.debuglog file, with the executed mount commands in it.
