Hello,

I just upgraded to Pli7.2 in order to avoid issues when mounting Windows drives.

My Windows drives are mounted, that is great;

I have a Western Digital NAS, mounted, that is great.

My Synology DS211 is not mounted, that is bad. I put the same settings as with Pli6.2. No way.

Some help please

Tnx

Félix

Enable NFS support on your Nas. I also have a Synology 211 and I have no problem. You can try to use the network browser to discover and mount it.

That gives me zero information.

CIFS? NFS? Which mount parameters?

Does that hostname exist? And does it resolve? If you fill in a host and an IP, the IP is ignored.

I'd get rid of the username and password in #6 if valid.

Could not make it working.

Tried several things, spents hours to mount and remount.

Have upgraded firmware of DS211j disabled NFS re-enabled NFS

Changed from NFS to CIFS and vice versa.

Still worried I can not setup the username and password in OpenPli.

Should I try OpenAtv or Blackhole or ...

You don't need a username and password for NFS. It is a feature that does not exist.

You need to assign the correct permissions on your Synology: https://www.synology..._network_NFS#t3

Appears a bit confusing, maybe he just lacks the activation of the samba version1 as a connection via cifs.
Presumably the synology has not yet an update in this regard and can only v1.
Guess ...

That doesn't matter, autodetect is introduced in OpenPLi 7.2 ( https://wiki.openpli...eleasenotes-7.2 ), so OpenPLi will try every setting, safety and samba version until it works .

Unless the user defines a version or security level explicitly.

With Synology NAS you need to give NFS Permissions to your boxes ip.

So, go to Control Panel of your Synology and select Shared Folder/Edit/NFS Permissions and create there read/write permissions to boxes ip-address.

On pictures you can see, where you can enable NFS and how set directory for boxes.

And there is E2 Mount manager (one of my NAS has 192.168.1.25):

<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<mountmanager>
<nfs>
 <mount>
  <active>True</active>
  <hdd_replacement>False</hdd_replacement>
  <ip>192.168.1.25</ip>
  <sharename>test</sharename>
  <sharedir>volume1/test</sharedir>
  <options>rw,nolock,soft</options>
 </mount>
</nfs>
</mountmanager>

then it will be in /media/net/test or /mnt/net/test

The easiest way:

Menu - Parameter - System - Expert Parameters - Network

Choose you connection I guess it is LAN Connection

There you will find Network Browser

It will search and discover all your equipment which are sharing disk.

Select it and add it from there.
