????

But if it is a 7.3 rc , why do I have to flash another 7.3-rc ?

It was installed using this: openpli-7.3-rc-osmio4kplus-20200621_multiboot.zip , and has been updated two or three times.

when starting, date on boot screen says 2020/07/01 , so it is updated

Sometimes this is needed for RC...

Some packages are NOT updates... others are...

The version numbers could not be inline when we clear the complete build and re-build again...

As RC user you 'should' understand this!....

(and an online flash may be even faster than update)

The last RC was rebuild from scratch, and that resets the version database, giving you large numbers of updates while nothing was really changed (just the version numbers are different).

Also, specifically for the OS Mini 4K, OS Mio 4K and OS Mio 4K plus, the vendor has changed from 64bit back to 32bit, and that invalidates the old aarch64 feed and all packages in it. This required a full rebuild for these boxes.

This last thing also means that these can not be updated from 7.2 to 7.3, they MUST be flashed.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

So, in RC versions, is it better to flash (backing up previously) each time a new image is created, than doing online update ??

Will do....

Also, specifically for the OS Mini 4K, OS Mio 4K and OS Mio 4K plus, the vendor has changed from 64bit back to 32bit

Is it a normal thing to go back from 64b to 32b ???

If you see a lot of updates, it is always better to flash, regardless of which image type it is. Updates take up flash space, which may be an issue for older MIPSEL boxes.

And you'll have to ask Edision. But I imagine that is caused complications, because not everything is 64 bit ready, not even the drivers (so you get weird crashes, memory alignment issues, etc).

Have pli-hd skins a new repository ???

I see that skin.xml from 7.3-rc feed (which is installed on /usr/share/enigma2/PLi-FullNightHD ) has this inside:

<!-- Skin Selector -->
<screen name="SkinSelector" position="fill" flags="wfNoBorder">
  <panel name="SelectionTemplate"/>
  <widget name="Preview" position="165,600" size="420,315" alphatest="on"/>
  <widget name="SkinList" position="780,100" size="1110,912" itemHeight="38" font="Regular;28" scrollbarMode="showOnDemand"/>
  <widget source="introduction" render="Label" position="780,975" size="1110,34" zPosition="1" transparent="1" font="Regular;30" halign="center"/>
</screen>

But the one at https://github.com/l...PLi-FullNightHD has this:

<!-- Skin Selector -->
<screen name="SkinSelector" position="fill" flags="wfNoBorder">
        <panel name="SelectionTemplate"/>
        <widget name="preview" position="165,660" size="420,315" alphatest="on"/>
        <widget source="skins" render="Listbox" position="780,100" size="1110,912" enableWrapAround="1" scrollbarMode="showOnDemand">
            <convert type="TemplatedMultiContent">
                {
                "template": [
                    MultiContentEntryText(pos = (15, 0), size = (725, 45), font = 0, flags = RT_HALIGN_LEFT | RT_VALIGN_CENTER, text = 7)
                ],
                "fonts": [gFont("Regular",38)],
                "itemHeight": 45
                }
            </convert>
        </widget>
        <widget source="description" render="Label" position="30,570" size="720,300" zPosition="1" transparent="1" font="Regular;30" halign="center"/>
    </screen>

I already flashed yesterday.

I ask it this now, because I see this difference, between the installed version and the github version.

It seems that the skin.xml file which I have after flashing (that works)  isn't the one at github.

And one difference is that one I've written.

And what exactly is the problem with that? The same is true for most of the plugins.
