Hey Guys

I have flashed my box vu solo2 with the openpli 7.2 & first impressions are good. the picture quality looks way better than when I was on my previous image. Also layout is quite simple which I like.

I managed to load mgcamd1.45c from plugins & get it to work.  However I was trying to download oscam & also get that to work but I am having trouble if anyone can help.  I downloaded oscam 10497 (see attached pic), is this the correct one?  then via VUCC I FTP'd the files into etc/tuxbox but something still not right, channels not clearing.  Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to download another plugin, I thing called something like oscam server status checker or something like this?

I have also noticed when in VUCC and connected to the box I can't find the softcam folder, on previous image it used to be var/usr/softcams.  Where to find it on OPenpli 7.2 image?

thanks

OScam is in /usr/bin
OScam config in /etc/tuxbox/config/oscam
OScam needs configuration files in order to work.

I Know that the VTI Team abandoned this mgcamd five years ago. (ceased all support) :)
ps And as far as I know, it worked poorly with long keys then

If you mean the binary, which Icemen referred to, no.

/etc/init.d contains sysV scripts for starting and stopping of services.

Dudes... LOL !

Binary files are placed in the folder /usr/bin/executable-file-name . Some binary filenames, as example for mgcamd, may to be renamed, for example by the IPK/DEB installation package to other filename (for example: "/usr/bin/MGCamd.1.45" or like as "/usr/bin/softcam.mgcamd.1.45" or another special filenames). If you are updating a binary file manually in the /usr/bin folder, don't forget to assign the appropriate attributes (owner rights) for the execution function, for example: chmod a+x /usr/bin/oscam

The folder /etc/init.d is used mainly for control shell-scripts (with the start | stop | restart arguments). Usually these shell-scripts are called from this directory when booting the system (as a symbolic link created, for example to Run-Level-3, i.e. in the /etc/rc3.d folder, which is used in most Enigma2 distributions as a normal system runtime).

As @mimisik wrote above, you must also have the appropriate configuration files for a particular type of softcam, uploaded to the appropriate directory, depending on which softcam you use. In the case of Oscam, it is a folder that, if it is not specified by the startup script (/etc/init.d/softcam*), then the configuration files are searched as automatically, in the following order: https://trac.streamb...k/oscam.c#L1652 ("oscam.c" file - source code).
