It looks like Enigma crashes there:

Hi Fatnasa,

I suspect that the answer to my question is that the network is not running or not fully running by the time the geolocation code is being called.  I have committed a change that should collect and ignore this error condition and allow Enigma2 to start normally.  The only negative will be that if the geolocation could not run then your initial time zone may not be automatically correct and must be set manually.

The geolocation system has been completely rewritten to avoid this and other conditions but I can't commit this code to OpenPLi yet as there are other prerequisites that are not yet in place.

Regards,

Ian.

the box has an Ethernet connection with fixed  settings in place.

so i am assuming that internet should  be available when Enigma2 is starting .

as of this , i would suspect a DNS issue ...

i'll check the dns settings.

Hi Fatnasa,

Hopefully the change I made will protect receivers from similar issues without regard for the actual cause.  ;)

Regards,

Ian.

i have changed the dns settings but the issue remains the same ..

the only thing that is different now  in my home network setup :

due to connectivity issues i am using a temp 4G network as gateway instead of VDSL

It will be backported this weekend, so it will be in Monday's release update.

Awesome , thanks alot WanWizard

Have to tell you very interesting thing - i have Zgemma h7S with PLI 7.3 and start to install another receiver ET4000  in same home network with  PLI 7.3

and when finishing et4000 start immediateli with all programs, codes ,settings , oscam, even same ip (as h7s  )

how it is possible to make full copy from another very different receiver via lan without asking me anything ?

Delete your /etc/resolv.conf and restart the box.

It looks like your resolv.conf is a symlink instead of a file, pointing to another symlink that points back (perhaps restored from a backup)?

The result is same with all after an hour lost the lan connection .Even the boxes are tested one by one to direct to dsl modem connection  Where as other images  like  Satdramgr8 . Openvix . OpenAtv  dont have any issues .

What did you all install?

You get this error if you have a resolv.conf that is a symlink to /var/volatile, which can happen if for example you have resolvconf installed (which Enigma doesn't use). /etc/resolv.conf should be a plain file.

Ah... I'll have a look.

edit: are you using resolvconf or openresolv? or a script that updates openvpn pushed routes locally?

Just flashed a test box with 7.3-release, installed openvpn, installed resolvconf, but still no issues with /etc/resolv.conf...
