Just flashed a test box with 7.3-release, installed openvpn, installed resolvconf, but still no issues with /etc/resolv.conf...

Did you try any vpn account ? after login  it will declare it  although  it will be connected but as soon as you will disconnect  it will not show lan connection  and will have number of symlink to /var/volatile

No, I don't have any vpn service available to test with.

The purevpn package contains a script that deletes the resolv.conf in use, and links is to elsewhere. So I think that's your culprit.

I don't know why all that is needed, I never had issues with routes and DNS info being pushed by an OpenVPN server.

edit: the other package contains exactly the same script.

You should be able to install just the openvpn package, and the *.ovpn config file(s) manually, and it should work fine. I used it like that at my parents' house until a few months ago.

It's the non-OpenPLi-compatible plugins that break it...

Hi

I've great problem with multiboot

I've buyed a Zgemma H9 with an openATV image 6.3 on it.

Then I've apllied the procedure to flash recovery and multiboot. and I've installed openPLI on second slot. All ok.

Then I've tried to start the openATV image on slot 1 now my Zgemma H9 combo is in bootloop on hisilicon logo!

How can I solve???

Is possible flash openPLI 7.3 directly in flash without using any recovery? For other images like Openvix is possible.

To understand better: With decoder turned off I insert an USB key with openPLI 7.3 in the box and then turn on the decoder and press reset button. In this way can I flash directly the image instead the recovery?

I ask before because I don't want make other damages

Are you sure? And not mixing up the other H9 models (which are different from the H9 twin and H9 combo)?

Thanks again for the reply WanWizard.

Yesterday I was able to run one only image in third partition but the satelite tuner didn't work! A loto of malfuncions interested my decoder But today finally I've found the solution: was not multiboot or images or some other inside my H9... the problem was the Power supply!!! This was broken!!

Now I'm using a new power supply and now all images work and boot normally. Now I'll set better my openPLI and then I'll try also Backupsuite to see if now I can also make a backup

My dish was fixed on Astra 19.2E single mode no diseq, i moved it manually to Badr 26.0E and changed my tuner configuration choosing no when asked to delete astra.
And after a scan i have Badr 26.0E added to reception list.

My only issue is when i choose copy to bouquets to have the whole sat in favorites list..
I can copy to bouquets but after restarting enigma the 26.0E bouquet is renamed to <n/a> with no channels.

I did same steps in openatv no issue there at all, the bouquet remains in favourites.

Did you also copy the lamedb / lamedb5 files?

No i didnt.
Here is the steps i did in both pli and atv:
1. Changing tuner settings from 19E to 26E, the mode is always single no diseq.
2. I keep astra when asked to remove it.
3. I scan the new sat.
4. I go to reception list with green button in channel list and menu/ copy to bouquet.

I get badr 26.0E in favorites list as a bouquet, but it turn to <n/a> after restart only in pli.
Atv with same steps the favourite bouquet dont turn to n/a.

Bouquet files (the .tv or .radio) only contain references, all satellite, transponder and channel information is in the lamedb / lamedb5 files.

You can not assume that something that works in one image version, will also work in another...

I just did a fresh install of pli in slot 3 did not use any backup.
In tuner configuration mode single satellite 26.0E Ku-band Badr 4/5/6/7 & Es'hail 2.

The same issue happens againg when copying badr from reception list to fav list, it turn to n/a after restart.

Also i noticed that no 26.0 bouquet.tv is created in etc/enigma when i copy it to bouquets.

You can not assume that something that works in one image version, will also work in another...

But copy to bouquets in an option in pli that should send a bouquet from reception list to favourites list without needing any more tweaks ou work around from me.
What i did is just report the issue whith that specific satellite.
And because i only use pli and atv i had to mention that atv dont have this issue.

Also automatic detection dont detect that lnb is pointing to 26.0E even if it have good signal.

Sorry for double post.
I noticed that the name of 26.0E in atv dont have ' in the name.
Eshail instead of Es'hail...so maybe this is the cause.

Hallo,

I have installed openpli-7.3-release-osmio4kplus-20200824_multiboot.zip, and now the receiver's display doesn't show anything. At booting it displays the "boot" but then it does not show anything, neither channel number, nor clock. Even at operation mode it shows nothing. I have installed VFD Display Setup, but to no effect. I installed the older version openpli-7.3-release-osmio4kplus-20200817_multiboot.zip, and still no change. Can you assis me. Thank you.

It crashes if I access any settings belonging to the GUI, System GUI etc...

Than means the python-mmap package is not installed. Which is very weird, as it is an Enigma dependency.

You can re-install it manually on the commandline using

opkg install python-mmap

or via software management, package management.

Thanks a lot, WanWizard. GUI-Error is gone, but my problems stay...all black in Merlin and TV Spielfilm :(
