Because of the fact Bitbake still doesn't understand shared feeds. And fixing it is very low down on my todo list.

They aren't real updates btw, the packages are binary the same, only the PR version is different.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

...after these updates, my receiver starts slowly starting from deep sleep

I can't imagine the updates being responsible, as like I said there is no binary difference.

Hello,
After 7.3 this monday update, my friend said that his zgemma h.2s goes GSOD when he send the receiver intodeep standby. And other problem, the internet is not working. Oscam cannot connect to server, and the update menu said that openpli.org is offline. Is there amy known issues which is causing these problems?

Nope. What does the GSOD say? (menu - information - about - yellow key, and then left until you find the crash log).

I cannot check this, my friend lives in another town, and he is a beginner... I'll try to ask him to send the log, hope that he can.

If not, maybe he can put it on screen and make a photo of the TV with a smartphone?

That's pretty clear: flash memory is full.

What type of box is it?

Usually this is caused either by:

  • installing too many plugins
  • not having any external storage, so the EPG cache is stored in flash
  • not having any external storage, so a recording is stored in flash

In all cases, it can really only be solved by flashing the box.

Clear. Thank you very much for your help!

The box is zgemma h.2s. I will flash his box next week, when I can meet him.

(I tried to make uninstall some plugins, but when he opened the plugins menu, and pushing red button tried to remove something, the box says "there is no new extensions" or "no new plugins" (or something similar, in hungarian language)

Thanks again!

If the box has no disk:

make sure a USB stick is plugged in, doesn't matter what size. Format it on the box, and set is as recording, timeshift location, and location for the epg cache file (epg.dat).

And probably also configure autobackup to make a daily backup on that disk, makes it a lot easier to flash next time.

Hi,

I too have display problem after 7.2 -> 7.3 flash (and restart) : Display shows only static boot-rings, even in standby.

My receiver is an old VU+ Ultimo.

It seems that /dev/dbox/oled0 is missing (There is /dev/oled0 instead). VU plus specific plugin LEDbrightnesssetup needs it.

Doing 'mkdir /dev/dbox', and 'ln /dev/oled0 /dev/dbox', and restarting enigma brang the display back, but this is not proper fix.

I hope this helps.

Thank You for developing excellent software !

I updated and this same problem still exists. File or link '/dev/oled0' is missing.

I am using a GigaBlue UHD UE 4k

I will look into deeply it after the weekend, currently my box is busy with making scheduled recordings. Problem is that I do not remeber what was changed last, I made a couple of changes before it started to hang again.

Sorry it took so long. I wasn't able to pinpoint this. There's too many differences between the working and non-working settings file. Certainly the hang doesn't seem to be caused by single settings entry, rather a combination of these. It's too many combinations to test.

Whenever I restore 'bad' settings file from backup, enigma2 hangs so it's something that is certain, not happening 'sometimes'.

Avahi (it's the last message seen during debug run, when it hangs) is something network related and the only network-related setting that is present in my settings file is OpenWebIf VPN access being enabled but this does cause enigma2 to hang when enabled.

Long story short, I gave up. For the moment the receiver is working fine with settings file created from scratch.

Hi, I just install the openpli-7.3-cuberevo_mini-20201001.root on my cuberevo mini and I'm facing the following problems that I can manage to solve.

First the VFD display after booting stays always with "LOAD" on it without showing the channel names and usual info.

Second I need to change the network from DHCP to static, that's easy but then I can't change the any number on the IPs, the cursor moves left, right, top, bottom so i can position any part of an IP address but them typing on the remote doesn't change any numbers.

Are these bugs or some setting I missed?

Is there a workaround?

Any help will be good, thanks.  :thumbs-up:

We don't make software for a cuberevo, so you may have to ask this to whoever make that image.

Ok, I see.

Didn't know as was an OpenPLi image, you mean that was created by someone else?

Going to search further that.
