My settings are also 4:3 pillarbox and 16:9 letterbox. Enabling 3D has no effect as well. If i set the channel as a PiP channel, it is correct there...

Here is the problematic channel (HBO HD), PiP also runs the same channel, and you can see that the PiP version displays properly, while the background channel is cut. (This shows that its not my TV that cuts the image but the box)

This is what happens after box reboot (image is no longer cut, but instead it's stretched): qPkmfbe.jpg

This is what I see on 23.5 on my Duo 4K:

And on my SF8008, it adds "SDR" to it:

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

There is 2 HBO HD on 0.8W. One is the CZE variant at 11977H (which is the same as what you see on 23.5), that one is fine for me). But the Hungarian one on 11843V has this issue for me. I sent the details of this channel before (you can see it's been cut in the small image preview too): mS6jAmc.jpg

Confirmed ... It seems, problem is in VU drivers and broadcasted video header parameters for this service and its events. I can confirm it today on my VuDuo4K. Cropped is top (the upper half of the logo is missing and from same linie missing picture too - is replaced with black) and bottom is same. Playback recorded this event on same vu box (duo4k) is cropped too.

But playback this same file on different boxes (hisil, broadcom) are ok and playback stream from this VuDuo4k is ok too. In HBO HU on 0.8W must be in video header something wrong, and vu driver has problem with it or video header can be ok and in driver is something missing or bug. Same service on diferent boxes (Zgemma, Edision, Ucklan, Mutant, Axas ) is ok too.

I will try tomorrow analyse videoheaders from cz service (it is ok on vu) and hu service for same event. But vu feedback works similar as trash can, imho...

Because webif using grab and grab ignoring a lot of parameters. Similar it will be for pip.

Can this be tweaked / improved within the PLI image? If it's the Vu+ drivers that means it will never be fixed... If it's UPC, then they will say "you are not using our box so it's not our fault" and wont do anything..

Impossible change some in driver. You can try www.vuplus.com and theirs bug reports ... But it's easier to meet a UFO than get theirs answer. ;)

But easy will contact UPC. May be, their broadcasting in header something wrong.
