Hello all i am not so good in writing source. To be honest i haven't written at all for 12 years or so.
I used to write mostly in turbo pascal delhpi and a little bit of c++.

I try to modify streamts to change the 31344 port bitrate so to stream without using the vlc to slow down the bitrate but i couldn't manage it.

So i suggest if any of the developers can make such a plugin i think it will be very useful to all of us...

thnx in advance.

you mean streamconversion? The box is by far not powerful enough to do so.

It is already in your DM box with Pli Jade, and is called zapstream (not streamTS which is a different appliaction in the old images).

Simply change the /var/etc/zapstream.conf to meet your needs on your DM500.

ok thnx guys

BUT

i believe none of you are right.
Let my explain my self.
First as for cpu of dm 500 and the others. It is fast and strong enough to stream at high resolution and cant stream at lower? thats a strange thing i believe.

Second in zapestream config i dont see anything that change the bitrate or the resolution of the stream.

forgive me if i am wrong but i have to understand some things.

thnx again

Sure, it can stream at low resolution and bitrate just fine.
But it cannot convert a high resolution / bitrate stream to a lower one, at least not realtime.
Such tasks take a lot of cpu.
