Hello,

I just installed the 03-08-2020 Openpli 7.3 on my new Gigablue UHD Trio 4K.

I meet a very annoying problem with the favorites : when I try to move favorites from one position to another, Openpli crashes (green screen) and restart, and my changes in my favorite list are not saved ...

Here are the different tests I did :

- if I move one favorite to another position, then exit from the favorite menu, sometimes it works fine (but sometimes it also crashes).

- if I move more than one favorite at a time, then when I try to exit from the favorite menu, Openpli always crashes then restart.

As I am a very new user of Openpli, I do not know if this bug comes only from the very last release of Openpli or not.

Does anyone know how to avoid this problem ?

Thanks a lot !

If you experience a GSOD (crash) then usually a crashlog is created in the root of the harddisk. You can add this on our board for investigating purposes.

All enigma 2 images have this issue, not just pli.
To avoid this annoying problem move one channel at a time then exit, then move another channel and exit again and so on.
better use openwebif's bouquet editor, echannelizer or dreamboxedit.

As far I know we fixed this issue. I’m not aware if it made it into 7.3

Thanks to all of you. I will try using an editor as even moving channels one by one sometimes crashes ...

I tried it now - ( Channel list - Menu - Enable moving (6), mark item with OK, move it, OK

moved 5 items , then this 5 items back

then Menu - Disable moving (6)

no crash on 7.3 (Uclan box - almost same hw as gbtrio4k)

I finally could manage my favorites using OpenWebIF, it worked fine. Thanks a lot Kaizoku. I hope this crash bug will be fixed in a next release. I just now need to guess how to save my favorite channel list, I guess I can do this using OpenWebIF, just need to find out how.

Looks indeed like epg thread issue. Do you import epg from somewhere? (Fallback tuner)?

@littlesat
No, epg is stored in a sd card mounted as hdd.

@dizzy33
Go to setup/auto backup and make a backup of your settings and channels..save into usb or external hdd...when flashing new image you will be asked if you want to restore your settings and channels.
Or Go to plugins and turn on "use new design" option in openwebif...after that you can export/import your channel list in bouquet editor.
