Yes, we've been busy trying to fix it. But it isn't fixed yet, otherwise I would have reported that back ;).

That error looks like the host OS is missing it.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

For the moment the DM8000 builds again, I had to disable a few out-of-tree wifi drivers that don't compile with the old kernel.

Thanks for your work.

But I still get the error "mkfs.jffs2: not found".

In the release-7.3 I don't get that error.

here I notice mtd-utils-native is built

I tried adding mtd-utils to the OS but that doesn't help.

I just checked my buildserver:

[wanwizard@batman ~]$ mkfs
mkfs mkfs.btrfs mkfs.cramfs mkfs.ext2 mkfs.ext3 mkfs.ext4 mkfs.fat mkfs.minix mkfs.msdos mkfs.vfat mkfs.xfs

and I don't have it in the host OS too.

If mtd-utils-native doesn't build for you, we'll have to look into that.

I have it built on my server (in build/tmp/sysroots-components/x86_64), but that could easily be because I build for more than one box.

I just got it to build by adding....

" do_image_ubinfi[depends] += "mtd-utils-native:do_populate_sysroot" "

to

" ./openembedded-core/meta/classes/image_types.bbclass "

Many thanks.

You should never modify external code, that would become a nightmare when you need to update.

I ran a test build about an hour ago with Neo's changes, and didn't notice any issues.

Last nights develop build also ran fine, so I think this is case closed?
