On Vu+ code there is an update for DUO4K SE.

Will openpli build an image for Duo4k SE in future? I think the box would be available soon.

If Vu+ supplies BSP for OpenPLi then you can expect images. I assume support will come soon ...

As you could have noticed on the downloadpage the Duo4Kse in red will be supported.

Last night a first (non public) Develop image has been build which I just tested. Besides some issues the image runs ok. There is still some work in progress prior to a Release for this hardware.

What issue? The recording issue? Just input works fine for the Duo 4K, in 720p and 1080i (I had my Sky box connected to it to test).

For the moment on the old DUO4k this features seems to be OFF.

webkithbbtv doesn't work on any VU+ 4K box, it crashes on startup and leaves Enigma without framebuffer and remote.

 

Blindscan doesn't work on the SE, so I assume the tuner doesn't support it.

HbbTv works on OpenAtv,.they have Opera web browser.

QuadIp does't work on Openatv and works on OpenPli.

 

Just a recap of somes crashes, it is just to say, it isn't a critic.

- When  you do a search in TuneIn radio.

- When you move channels or channels group.

 

It is not a crash but sometines the video resolution 2160 30 Hz is deselected and you need to reselect.it.

The Opera HbbTV solution is closed source and under license. It was supplied by a manufacturer and ATV "used" it for others. We don't do that, it is effectively stealing.

I test the orignal  Vu+ image on DUO4K : http://code.vuplus.c...1160741_usb.zip

 

HBBTV works fine.

There is a plugin (Web browser) Chromium OS and is working fine.

Avi files are not read (old movie on HDD)

A plugin FCCSetUp (Fast Channel Change SetUp) and changing channel is very very fast when it is enabled.

A plugin BlindScan and is only for DVB-S.

A PVR Descramble Convert Setup plugin but i don't known what is it for ? (On : Avi files aren't read)

 

Can these plugins be added to OpenPLI ?

HbbTV is available but doesn't work (I expect it is not compatible with our Enigma).

Chromium can be build if VU+ enables it in the BSP, but without keyboard and mouse useless, and with just a slow browser.

FCC will not be added as it is only useful for sequential zapping, it uses additional tuners for pre-selecting, it doesn't work with CI modules, and it "destroys" smartcards with a SID limiter.

FBC tuners do not have blindscan support, Blindscan is available for all other VU+ tuners.

If you don't know what it is, how could we?

Not, it requires too much backporting and manual fixing.

 

Instead, we're working hard to get OpenPLi 8 released, plan is before Christmas (with an RC in the weeks before).
