Hi, I have installed the openpli 7.3 version on a lunix3 4k receiver and the transcoding does not work, this is the text that indicates the error:

Log says:

“Value too large for defined data type”

You have to make the value to fit, try to change it!

Transcoding on Openpli 7.3 Lunix3 4K works OK here (with the latest drivers).

https://wiki.openpli.org/Transcoding

This allows you to especially "HD" (but SD) channels, "backscale" to a lower resolution and lower quality, which significantly reduces the required bandwidth.

Did you find the transcoding menu? Try there to make the values smaller.

Ok can you tell me the values that are working well on your lunix3 4k?
I've tried with smallest.

I can't control it right now, I'll try it in one day in the future. I know it worked for me, but it might been with the old drivers.

I find from one old thread, that with openpli7 (I tried openpli-7.2-release-lunix3-4k-20191231_usb) transcoding and streaming both works with aid of this plugin:

enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-advancedtranscodingsetup_openpli7_armv7ahf-vfp 2.ipk

I'll send it to you in tomorrow for a try.

It contains VU+'s old transtreamproxy.

I've checked our streamproxy code, the definition of the Lunix3-4k is identical to the Galaxy4k (which is the same box), and transcoding on the Galaxy works fine.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Without any extra plugin?

Another question please,Galaxy4k hangs too on standby with openpli 7.3?

I've never had any issues with my Galaxy 4K, I only switched to an SF8008 about 2 months or so ago.

Try this, it worked for me with openpli-7.2-release-lunix3-4k. I think it's not on the feed (if I remember that correctly).

Does not install. I select it, touch the green button to install, it keeps thinking and then the message of 0 updated 0 installed and 0 deleted appears. it doesn't give me any error message or anything, in the log I don't see anything either. I will try installing it from the console to see if it gives me a message why it does not install

Fixed it was my fault, removing the last part of the filename let me install it perfectly. it works in 7.3 7.2 and also in private 7.1, the only thing I would add is that for it to work I had to uninstall the streamproxy package and transcoding setup, then restart, install the advanced transcoding and restart again. thanks and greetings

It would be handy to know why our streamproxy doesn't work, but the old transsteamproxy does. Any idea where the source of that binary is?
