In about 3 months, we're becoming optical fiber. I'm Dutch, living in Germany. My plan is to use a VPN to see Netflix (Dutch)etc. without geoblocking. Wich router to buy? Every device should work on wifi. I've selected these:

-Asus Aimesh AX6100 (RT-AX 92U 2pack)

-Asus RT-AX88U

-Draytek Vigor 2133FVac

I´m not an expert in these matters. We're living in a big house with thick walls. We will use wifi for gaming, wachting tv, laptops, PC etc.

Have i chosen routers wich will do the job, or should I look for a better option?

Thanks in advance for responding.

You can also go all Ubiquiti, but their newest UDM line has some problems / missing features - example: its missing IGMP proxy for iptv stuff.

I have old USG, currently running 1000/100Mbit fibre.

I also have Ubiquiti APs, covering two house floors. Only AC at the moment, I do not have Wifi 6 capable devices.

<semi-off-topic>I have 2 Unifi NanoHD's and they really bring roaming, coverage is good. The only thing with Unifi gear is that you need a controller to access them, I use a docker solution and it works good.</semi-off-topic>

Thanks for replying to my question. I`ll explore your reactions before deciding which router to buy.

Actually you can use controller only when changing settings. Its not needed to be on all the time.

You are right of course, you can set and forget these Access Points, but I like to monitor things  ;)

@TS I would buy separate devices, so a modem/router and access points(AP's), like @hemertje also suggests. Concerning access points, the nice thing about UniFi AP's is you can connect as many AP's as you want (some have mesh, but I don't use it). So is there more space to cover, then buying more UniFi AP's is the solution. Also think about power supply, when it comes to AP's. Many UniFi AP's can be powered over ethernet (PoE).
