Receiver: VuPlusZero4k, Openpli 7.3
Q: To all knowledgeable members and Openpli developers.
I am moving to North America. Need to change the receiver time to be 12h format (am/pm). Could not fined anything in the expert settings.
Please advice what files have to be changed, how to do it and if this is possible. Everything in the skin xml file was changed, but EPG is still 24h format.
Thanks to all.

The wierd thing is in enigma2 standard this is defined by the skin. I know eg OpenVix image has it that somehow overrules what is given by the skin. To do this correctly aswell skins and e2 (Python) code need a re-design.

Can the e2 (Python) code be re-design? Or any workaround ;) ? Or replace a file from OpenVix to Openpli? I will need some tips how to do it.

Don't you need an ATSC tuner for North America?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Here you can see how a skin does it: https://github.com/l...plates.xml#L305

It uses "Format:%H:%M". You can check this page (https://docs.python....l#time.strftime) to see what the codes mean. From that it follows that you should change it to "Format:%I:%M %p".

All TV's in North America have ATSC tuners or you can by  USB one. And I have already changed all time parameters of the skin  the way you suggested. Look at the picture what is wrong. At the upper wright corner everything is correct, but  down left, the second box, time is still 24h. I don't thing I missed something. If you like I can attache the skin.xml. And thank you for the help.

Can you be more specific? If I look at your attachment in the first post, I don;t see a time displayed in 24-hour format?

There is no limit to the number of attachments (there is to the maximum size though).

It is not our skin, so it's guessing where that comes from, but I assume a custom renderer that is installed with the skin, that uses some hardcoded format?

This is the Skin I am playing with. I wouldn't mess around with the original Pli-FullNightHD, which is very nice Skin, light and fast. It will be nice if the Openpli developers add 12h (am/pm) format. My android phone, linux computer, ipad, my old, none Enigma2 STB, all of them have it.

Not giving up! Edited GraphMultiEpg.py. Now the Multi Epg comes in12h format (am/pm, see ping image) Where  can I find the Single Epg to edit. It still comes in 24h format and is not in the skin. Any help will be appreciated.

You see you need to change python code.... so it started to get kind of spaghetti code without a real design.... with a kind of format that can be configured....

https://github.com/O...ents/EpgList.py does not tell me anywhere to change time to %I and %p.

It must be an easy solution like editing the GraphMultiEpg.py. The problem is I am not that knowledgeable to edit pyo files. That's why I am asking for help. Enigma2 STB's are multi voltage and have all world satellites programmed.

OpenViX has an option to change between 12 and 24 hour format in the epg, maybe some clues there?

Yes indeed, I tried it, but I didn't like it. Openpli is the best, as far as I am concern. Program guide  came in 24h format. strange!

In vix it is somehow a kind of hack as it have to overrule what a skin is indicating... What you need is a config for 12:24 hours.
Make it undepended from the skin or allow 12/24 hour config within the skin... (need also changes in skins!!!) it is not only in the epg etc to do this right...

When I installed Vix I put the 12h format, transferred my channels and put my skin, which is 12h (surprisingly it took it), but still EPG was 24h, Multi EPG was 12h. l plaid whit it a little bit, didn't like it and switched back to Openpli. I always back my system. It may be the EPG provider. Who knows? My problem is, I don't know how to create config for 12/24, I am not a programmer.
