If with 7.3-release you have this problem, then 8.0-release will not run at all, it is at least about 15MB bigger.

 

Most likely, we will drop support for all currently supported boxes with only 128MB flash as of 8.0-release.

7.2. and 7.3 are similar in size, one is just a minor update on the other.

The biggest user of space is Samba, so if you don't use shares on the box, or you can switch to NFS or FTP for access, that  might be an option.

 

But for 8,0, even that might not create more space on the solo2.

I get rid of samba with just 1 command, first have a look what samba stuff is installed with

opkg list-installed *samba*

and deinstall it

opkg remove *samba* --force-depends

no warranty, first make a backup of your image

Can't you just disable samba, web interface and maybe wifi drivers for 128MB boxes so they aren't included in images?

Different images will become a support nightmare, if for every "it doesn't work" post we first have to dig into what is and isn't installed in the image.

 

What might be a possibillity is to make samba optional for all. Those upgrading with a backup will not notice it (as autoinstall on restore will install samba too), others will have to install it when needed.

I found problem.I had picons on external disc,so i delated and installed again on internal storage of box.Now seems to be OK.
