If codecs are important, choose a box with a HiSilicon chipset, they support more than the Broadcom chipsets.

Something like a Zgemma H9 twin for example, small, 2 DVB-S2, 4K, space for a low-profile 2,5" disk or SSD, and cheap.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

The requirement was "with OpenPLi", we don't support Opticum boxes.

Zgemma H9 Twin support cccam?

I think it has what all that I am looking for

the only thing it seems to have small ram 1gb

then again maybe don't need more if there is no diference?

I use iptv on vu+solo2 with 1gb ram and many times when change channel it gives the wheel and take time to react again

anyone used iptv on box with lets say 1gb vs 3gb ram?

any big difference?

and any other box like Zgemma H9 Twin but with more ram?

The quality of streaming and available RAM has absolutely zero to do with each other.

yes I know this, and I not talk about quality

but I am talking when changing channels on my vu+ solo2 many times the box give the wheels when changing channels

its not smooth zapping

I assume this is ram issue and will be better smoother with more ram?

Maybe you have die picons on the HDD and the HDD must spin up. Normally channel changing doesn´t show the wheel.

Receiver:2 x Uno4k SE (PLI 7.3 rel), 1 x ET9200 (PLI 4.0), NAS: 2 x QNAP 410, TV: LG 65C8llla, LG 47LB570V, LG 42LM615S, Sound: Yamaha RX-v663, Teufel System 5 THX

You expect smooth zapping on streams you pull in from the internet?

Hi,

I just zapped with my Solo2 some streams of German public TV and it was very fast, even faster then DVB-S, and smooth. I think zapping smoothness mainly depends from the used server.

And what relation does that have with an STB?

This is in the category "I want to carry 5 tons of bricks in my car, but it makes my care slow. Why, as my truck has no problems with it?"

because I think more ram on stb will be smoother iptv zapping

but you say it don't matter if I have 1gb ram or 3gb ram, iptv zapping etc will not work any better or worse?

so Zgemma H9 Twin support cccam?

and support 2.5"HDD internal?

I feel a highly illegal content is popping up (again)... IPTV CCcam...…

since when they are illegal? I believe there is nothing illegal about them

for as far as I know my card and cccam got nothing illegal going on I believe?  or do you believe its illegal to read my card for which I pay monthly my subscription?

same for my iptv channels only these are free and for everybody accessible and I don't need to pay for them like everybody else

so back to subject please and don't make any allegations and hijack my thread unless you explain why they would be illegal content to you

Hi,

same for my iptv channels only these are free and for everybody accessible and I don't need to pay for them like everybody else

so create a small bouquet with 6 or 7 channel and we can test on other receiver how they are doing.

Using FFFF0000 in your service reference for IPTV means that you have a DVB-C channels so if you have DVB-C tuner in your STB it will try to display this channel from it.  So replace :FFFF0000: with :0: and give it a try.

Small tip replace the lastest:  :0:http  with :3:http  this will enable buffering.

Hi Speed,

I tested your examples on my Solo2 and my Duo4K and I do not really see a difference. Both zap smoothly. The Duo4K might be a fraction of a second faster but Solo2 is also more than OK.
