Why is HBB not installed and activated in the image?

First of all it would be appreciated when you mention on which hardware HBBTV doesn’t work. Depending the brand and model HBBTV should be available for download. For instance Vu+ offers the webkithbbtv plugin that still doesn’t work (properly) on most of their hardware.

As it takes continuing effort to get and keep HBBTV working properly this function has no priority for us.

Good afternoon.Installed rc8.0 on duo4kse.Installed from feed webkithbbtv.When I press the red button or through the blue button, the message appears on the receiver screen webkithbbtv and nothing happens,but the receiver stops responding to the remote control buttons.There is nothing in the log.Maybe only with me.

Nothing hangs on my home build, but it also does not work as it should. Content selection is in progress, but playback does not work.

Only on the TV screen appears the message Missing-Plugins.

The only option is that someone downloads the source from VU+, and starts debugging. I assume something in E2 changed which broke the interface between the browser and E2.

I checked the work of hbbtv on pli8-rc and vti.

Installed on the pli from the feed the plugin hbbtv,when you press the red button, nothing happens,but the receiver stops responding to pressing any buttons.

And exactly thát is the reason that we stopped trying to get HBBTV to work on our images. When it works it works and if not ‘bad luck’.

Stated many times before!! Interactive services are locked by the providers as they insist you use their closed boxes and/or internet-based apps in order to extort extra money for services you already payed for... HbbTV is a passed station for 'Open' boxes.
No need to try and try again...

One more time then: HbbTV is a closed source solution under license, provided by the vendor. Each vendor supplies its own version, if they have bothered to create one.

 

OE-A has stolen the solution from one vendor, and made it illegally available for all other boxes.

Judging by the number of threads on OpenViX over the years saying HBBTV doesn't work, I don't think you can include ViX in your post.

And there is an issue with qthbbtv as packages have wrong dependencies. We can maybe fix that. But I don’t know whether hbbtv really works afterwards.

OpenViX is allowed to use the files from VU. For ARM boxes it is working but mips is not working at the moment.

Hbbtv work fine on satdreamgr 8 for Edision os  mio 4k+.

The question is whether you can use the source.
