Naturally we’re aware that the Satdream image is based on OpenPLi. That doesn’t mean that all what is working on his image will also work on our image. Apart from the base some specific things are added so certain applications work. Everybody knows that we try not to use hacked applications like some other images did.

And there is an issue with qthbbtv as packages have wrong dependencies. We can maybe fix that. But I don’t know whether hbbtv really works afterwards.

Hi,

Hbbtv work fine on satdreamgr 8 for Edision os mio 4k+.

Regards
When i start hbbtv, enigma restarts. I tested on same stb as you.

I understand your position but you are supporting an OScam softcam feed, while the source code reveal hacked tables.

There is nothing wrong with the regular use of any cam. What the user does with a Cam is his own choice.

You can buy a car that runs 250 km/h but you're only allowed to drive 130 km/h in Holland. In that case the manufacturer is not to blame when the driver gets a fine. :)

We've had this discussion before. Satdreamgr uses the HbbTV from OE-A (OpenATV), which is a ripped version from one of the vendors.

As HbbTV is closed source and under license, we use whatever the manufacturer has provided in the BSP (if at all).

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Too bad, I would have liked so much to use a 100% openpli image with these plugins. :(

Thanks and good night. :)

In my everyday life, I often have to be crafty.
So I merged the alliance feeds on the openpli 8rc image and here I am with my openpli version integrating HBBTV plugin, and it works well for me. :D

HbbTV is licensed software, which the manufacturer provides as binary in their BSP.

OA doesn't care, they ripped a solution from one of the manufacturers, and adapted it to run on all boxes.'

We don't do license violations.

Yes I know it. But I want Openpli.

I hope that user demosat1 can advice me, how install function hbbtv on Openpli 8.0 or high.

Or can you share me older image openpli for Vu+ Duo 4K SE, where is HBBTV OK?

I can not find 7.3 or older for this receiver.

Thank you.

HI,

Extract /etc/opkg on satdreamgr image

On your stb

stop enigma

replace /etc/opkg/ openpli by /etc/opkg/ satdreamgr

reboot enigma

Now you can donwload hbbtv plugin.

Does OpenPLI have a solution to this problem? -> plugin openhbbtvbrowser

See post #29.

SatDreamGr contains the OE-A version, which is used illegally there as well.

It's not that easy. I wouldn't reduce the discussion to 'illegal' either.

'We' can in principle also implement the other solution using layer VU +.

But then you would also have to build the old qt version 5.9. It's all very cumbersome.

The qt is not compatible with layer zeus or hardknott and would have to be fixed accordingly.

There is clearly a better solution for the mio 4k. This is openhbbtv and that will also be further optimized. A change to hardknot would certainly be interesting here.
