Hallo allen,

 

ik heb sinds ik naar openpli 7.3 ben geupgrade problemen met transcoded streams via webif of andere apps

als ik in de webif interface op het stream transcoded icoontje klik dan werkt de autthenticatie niet

maar als ik op de normale stream klik wel

 

vlc geeft de volgende error:

dit is bij alle transcoded streams en bij geen van de normale streams

 

iemand een idee?

ja heb ik aanstaan maar dat zou voor beide moeten gelden toch?

het vreemde is dat de normale stream (met authenticatie) wel werkt

maar de transcoded niet

Er staat me bij dat er iets was met authenticatie door de kromme manier waarop de VU+ boxen transcoding doen.

 

Erik heeft dat stuk herscheven, maar ik denk niet dat dit al in 7.x zit, daarvoor zou je 8.0-rc moeten proberen.

als ik authenticatie voor streams uitzet dan werkt zowel transcoding als normale stream

met authenticatie aan werken alleen normale streams

dit is voor mijn usecase niet ideaal

I don't think any of us uses this. If I need to access the box remotely, I use a VPN tunnel, never connect the box to the internet, it's not safe.

 

Ik denk dat niemand van ons dit gebruikt. Als ik op afstand toegang moet krijgen tot de box, dan gebruik ik een VPN-tunnel. Ik verbind de box nooit met internet want dat is niet veilig.

From what I understand it uses the login of the WebIf itself, so you can't have auth on the stream if you don't have auth on the WebIf itself.

Voor zover ik begrijp, gebruikt het de login van de WebIf zelf, dus je kunt geen autorisatie op de stream hebben als je geen autorisatie hebt op de WebIf zelf.

het lijkt erop alsof de ttanscode knop de user niet naar openpli stuurt

 

ik heb meerdere users geadd via adduser in terminal, moet ik users in openpli los toevoegen? ik kan met deze user wel inloggen op openpli.

tevens staat de user in /etc/passwd

maar user root werkt ook niet

from what i have gahtered so far is that it uses a different method for the transcode stream than the normal one which is why i suspect a bug in that part of the code

Het heeft te maken met de webif in feite.

 

Request gaat webif->streamproxy->webif->enigma. Je ziet één keer webif, maar in feite zit die er twee maal tussen. Dat is zo omdat streamproxy een extern programma is en zelf geen services kan selecteren of demuxers instellen, dat moet hij via de webif doen. De interface die daarvoor gebruikt wordt, is een algemene interface. M.a.w. niet alleen streamproxy kan die gebruiken. Vandaar dat de mannen van webif daar ook verplichte authenticatie op hebben gezet, terwijl streamproxy dat in feite al gedaan (gechecked) heeft. Dat maakt het extra complex, want daardoor moet streamproxy de auth kennen en ook gebruiken op die URL. Als daar iets misgaat, dan werkt het hele zaakje niet. Ik heb hemel en aarde bewogen om de heren van de webif zo ver te krijgen dit anders aan te bieden, maar geen resultaat. Er zijn wel aanpassingen geweest die noodzakelijk waren om compatible te blijven met webif, vandaar dat het gedrag tussen OpenPLi 7.2 en 7.3 anders kan zijn geworden.

 

Ik kijk even in de log en ik zie "-sid,2898ff8131bb0d06bb0285f9ddc36eda5ad50e0fc4c3bfe9fe4adc0fd54b7612" als user. Dat betekent dat de webif niet wil dat streamproxy de auth doet, maar deze transparent weer teruggeeft. Da's iets "nieuws" in webif, inderdaad ergens tussen 7.2 en 7.3 veranderd waarschijnlijk. Ik heb aanpassingen gedaan in streamproxy om dat te laten werken, maar het lijkt er op dat ze het formaat veranderd hebben? Of dat bij ons, de patch die op owif nodig was hiervoor, niet meer toegepast wordt.

 

Ellende allemaal.

 

Daarom heb ik in 8.0 Broadcom transcoding naar binnen Enigma verplaatst, dan ben je van al die ellende verlost, er is helemaal geen webif meer nodig. Authenticatie werkt gewoon zoals bedoeld. Je zou onze RC eens kunnen proberen. Daar zit nog een probleempje in waardoor opnames soms vastlopen, maar daar wordt aan gewerkt.

zodra die er is zal ik die proberen maar ik heb ook toen 8.0rc werd voorgesteld die geprobeerd en toen had ik hetzelfde probleem ik ga nu kijken of de download mirror is geupdate en dan zal ik verslag uitbrengen

allen bedankt tot dusver en vooral de uitleg van erik is prettig zodat ik een beetje begrijp waarom het complexer is dan ik aanvankelijk dacht

Ik heb nog even gecheckt, maar de patch is wel actief in 8.0-rc, dus als het daar ook niet werkt, dan is iets anders de oorzaak van het probleem...
