I will double check with the 22 Nov commit. I don't usually use subtitles and it isn't on every service.
No details of the Norwegian transmissions. I asked several times so initial commit by Simon could be tweaked, none were made available.

Problem still exists. Screenshot of BBC News on 28.2, you can see "About" text overwriting the previous one. You see problem more when speaker changes.

Hello,
I think the video shows the problem with 'stenographic titles'. It was pointed out to me by Eric for a French station, but I later noticed they are quite common in UK broadcasts. The issue was resolved, but presently works only if the option "Center DVB subtitles" is not selected.
I think your second screenshot shows that same bug, but with the center subtitles active. Well spotted!
I will look into it.
