What did you do exactly to get this error?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Chances are it is not (or no longer) compatible.

And actually not required in openpli as most it does is standardwize included in openpli.... long time ago with standard e2 from dmm it was required. it is a function stealing plugin that does miss a parameter on a function that it steals...

It was never installed on openpli by default.... most functionality was included al there is no real need for it...
except for eg showing covers for movies... that part is indeed not included (yet) in openpli. Note that grabbing the covers from the www needs parsing websites etc... and when a website changes code need to be adapted constantly.
When you want covers you can also try Kodi instead keeping e2 quick and clean...

But where did you get the plugin from? From our feeds? If so we might consider to remove it....

Mmmm mediaplayer is indeed intrede by default... I cannot confirm your gsod. How did you enforce it? It might be sn easy fix by simply add a default for the missing parameter... or add a dummy as the call comes from a call delay.

Looks indeed like a fix is needed... sorry I was hooked to emc plugin due to the third post.

yes.. so ..
to you the tests
I posted the crash log, definitely missing a parameter
But I don't understand why it just flashes: the decoder works and after installing EMC the box goes into crashlog loop

Neither can I, both MediaScanner and Media Player seem to work fine here.

We need to know what the user did to trigger the gsod...

What I don't understand:

File "/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/Scanner.py", line 103, in open
  File "/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/MediaPlayer/plugin.py", line 1252, in movielist_open

but on line 1252, there's

InfoBar.instance.showMovies(eServiceReference(stype, 0, f.path)

so some plugin that has taken over the infobar that is causing this?

We need to know what the user did to trigger the gsod...

https://forums.openp...dpost&p=1289926

As you already know, unfortunately at the moment I do not have a box on which to put and test the PLi image, as I have done in the past I have always given a hand when I could.
I only report the experience of a friend of mine, but soon I'll give you some good news for your Pli

regards

;)

I guess you have installed EMC. And this causes the trouble:
https://github.com/b.../plugin.py#L532
(Not sure whether we build plugin from this repo)
Xtrend ET-9200, ET-8000, ET-10000, OpenPliPC on Ubuntu 12.04

Friends I'm just adapting my zeta skin on openpli, it means that the skin will have support for numerous plugins that many will never use, but maybe someone uses them.

I installed EMovieCenter from pli feeds for this reason, and got this error. I was thinking about an error on my skin (which worked fine before installing emc) but also the default skin had the same problem,

as if some module had been modified. Even uninstalling emc, and returning the image to its original state the problem remained, after a new flash everything works again.

The version I am using is the pli 8.0 rc.

specify that the zeta skin is created without using additional components and does not make any changes to the code of any kind.

regards mmk
