hello, I recently installed openpli 8 on my VU+solo4k, since then I can no longer open or view recordings of the VU+solo4k via my Nvidia shield tv running kodi via the enigma2 addon.
Since today I have placed OpenPli 7.3 on the VU+solo4k and I can view my recordings again.
Is there a certain setting in the Openwebif that is not correct or what has changed in Openpli8 compared to Openpli7.3
Does anyone know what to do?

Define "I can not". What do you do? what happens? Error messages?

 

Did you enable security on the webif by any chance?

Define "I can not". What do you do? what happens? Error messages?

 

Did you enable security on the webif by any chance?

Just installed openpli 8 default, no extra settings, i can watch TV channels via Nvidia shield TV with kodi via the enigma2 addon, but i can't see any recordings. (recodings tab gives an empty list)
When i installed openpli 7.3 again default, no extra settings i can watch TV channels via Nvidia shield TV with kodi via the enigma2 addon, and i can see my recordings in the list and watch them also.

I'm sure my kodi on my Nvidia shield Tv with the Enigma2 addon is working correctly ...

I've got no error messages ...

It looks like somethings changed on the webif in openpli 8 ... maybe a setting ?
What do you mean with enable security ... how do i check that ?

Problem is solved.

There is something missed in the settings from openpli 8 ...

 

In openpli 7.3 there is default a marking point '' /media/hdd ''
In openpli 8 that is missing, no marking point ... 

 

I've made the marking point ... and now i can see my recordings list via my Nvidia shield tv via the enigma2 addon.

Hi, there is no Kodi plugin in the feed.

Kodi needs to be supported by the vendor, as it needs EGL graphics drivers.

 

As far as I can see, they are present for the ET11000, so you might want to try the current nightly build, as much of the recent Kodi work was done after the release of 8.1.

P.S.: In the crash log there is Kodi 18.9 mentioned, though I expected at least 19.3 version in the nightly built. M.b. I'm doing smth wrong?

Kodi18.9 is the last version for python2.
From Kodi 19 Python3 is required.

Hi. I just Downloaded and installed kodi on my vu+duo4kse Openpli 8.1 2022-02-05. I connected to my NAS, where I have my movies, through NFS. Everything works except playing a movie. It tries to play it for a second and then it goes back to the menu. Read the forum to try and find a solution but couldn't find any. Is there a solution?

I got it to work. Connected with root instead. The problem now is that I can't get the movie to stop playing, haha. Kodi doesn't respond at all to the vu+ remote. Any solutions?

Hello. I have BT remotes for my Duo4k/Duo4KSE/Ultimo4K. When BT remote is connected, I can't use remote in Kodi at all - a hard reset of the receiver is necessary because the VU does not respond to the remote control. IR remote don't work too then. When BT remote is disconnected in BT setup of VU, all works. Can it be fixed?

That would require Kodi to understand the BT remote.
