buonasera a tutti, ho appena configurato il mio nuovo gigablue quad 4k con open pli 8.0, va tutto alla grande , vorrei chiedervi, e scusate se ne capisco poco, ma il piccolo schermo lcd frontale, puo essere usato come una piccola tv...e se si, vi chiedo come, e poi se mi guidate passo passo come fare per cambiare la  skin del displei, con una diciamo piu bella, uso filezilla.....un grazie in anticip a tutti

Hi,

 

I own a Gigablue UHD QUAD 4k decoder.

 

I applied Jork's clear suggestions and I got the display showing hour, etc.

 

But I did not succeed to show channel picon. I inserted the picon.py in suggested directory and I restarted Enigma but the picon is not there.

Have a look in the skin_display.xml file if the specified picon.py renderer is activated/used.
render="Picon" at channelselection segment in that file.

If the picon file needs a fix, it should be added to the image.

I checked in the skin_display.xml file and it seems activated and so I put "0" for the position but nothing changed:

Anyway it is not really a blocking issue so I can wait next image release for a possible fixing.

Thanks Dario,

I can't guess what is the cause of the missing picon in your display.
Are picons visible on the tv screen when you open channellist?
Which skin you have in use?

Maybe you have installed something like lcd4linux.
(This you don't actually need when you are setting up your GigaBlue display with this method)

Hi Jork,

 

I see the picon in the channels list, infact it is quite strange that I cannot see at display level.

 

I use the following picon perhaps has the wrong dimensions ..... :  snp-full.100X60-86X46.dark.on.transparent (2021-07-24-21-07-45)

 

This the the Display Skin currently in use:  skin_test.

 

I confirm that i did not install lcd4linux plugin.

Try snp-full. 240x400 light on transparant. Btw I meant the main skin.

I noticed that not all picon download feeds one can choose from are active at the moment.

Hi Jork,

 

I tried with different picons including snp-full. 400X240 light on transparent. I did not find snp-full. 240x400 light on transparent.

 

The result is: I can see the picon on the channels list but never on display.

 

GUI Skin currently used is: PliFullNightHD.

@Dario, I'm sorry i have no idea why it isn't working work for you.
@WanWizard, now picons are installing ok. No idea why it didn't yesterday.

Could anyone provide Gigablue Quad 4K UHD LCD skin?

I have Gigablue UE 4K and Gigablue Quad 4K.

In the first box OpenPLi 8.2 has LCD screen and in the second it is empty.

LCD doesn't show any LCD Picon in Gigablue Quad 4K.

Is there any possibility to have LCD Display skin with the picon and different hour and date formats on display in stand by mode? 

VU+ Ultimo used to have plenty of them.

Good afternoon all,

 

Could somebody explain why orange picon turns into blue on LCD display when I display channel selection list?

I have put Picon.py to \usr\lib\enigma2\python\Components\Renderer and used skin_test.zip taken from this topic.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

May I ask for file Picon.py for PLi9 (py3) image designed to Gigablue Quad4k? Picons are unavailable on LCD screen using modified LCD Skin.
