The original driver mixed up RGB values, and Gigablue initially refused to fix it because ATV had worked around it, and we refused the hack to work around a driver problem.

 

I can only assume the file in this topic was made to implement that hack.

 

In the meantime that bug is fixed in the driver, and the hack is no longer needed. So if you install it, you mix up the RGB values again.

LCD skin works properly but without picons. So what should I do to get picons on LCD? When using ATV 7.4 and Egami 10.4 in slot 2 and 3 picons on LCD are available.

I think it depends on the skin and the settings.
try activating the picons in the list in the Pli Skin.
I'll take a look at this regarding the VFD.

What driver fix?
Displaying picons in GigaBlue Quad 4k VFD still need an a different channelselection tab in skin_display.xml.
The display switch picon on/off in the user settings work for Vu but don't work for GigaBlue.

Where can i find py file to edit? There is only pyc file in Components. Please upload final file which is inciding necessary changes if possible.

Indeed better execute: opkg install enigma2-src
It does not work yet on the 240x400 display.
Will take a closer look at the renderer.

Just edited for testing skin_display_gbquad4k.xml.
It was sufficient to display picons on VFD.
But i can't get it to switch on/off by GUI settings.
I shall better leave it up to the developers.

replace /usr/share/enigma2/display/skin_default/skin_display.xml

or

rename as skin_user.xml and add /etc/enigma2

Ok i have small picon. Thats a matter of taste. The function show picons not activated in GBquad4k.

I meant the function switching picon in display on or off in the gui does not respond in my case. It is in my case always on. I will see what causes this as you stated it is working.
