I am having some troubles with the ET7500 running Release 8.0.
Sometimes, when a recoding stops, the box becomes unresponsive. It can only be rebooted via Putty.

Recordings are stored on a Synology NAS.

Last lines from the debuglog:

[ActionMap] Keymap 'GlobalActions' -> Action = 'volumeUp'.
[eDVBVolumecontrol] Setvolume: raw: 45 45, -1db: 35 35
[Screen] Showing screen 'Volume'.
[Volume] Volume set to 45.
[ActionMap] Keymap 'GlobalActions' -> Action = 'volumeUp'.
[eDVBVolumecontrol] Setvolume: raw: 50 50, -1db: 32 32
[Screen] Showing screen 'Volume'.
[Volume] Volume set to 50.
[TIMER] activating state 3
[TIMER] stop recording on tuner: A
[eDVBServiceRecord] stop recording!
[eFilePushThreadRecorder] stopping thread.
[gRC] main thread is non-idle! display spinner!

Please update to latest release image from today. Then this is hopefully resolved.

I will start some recordings just before I go to bed and will report the result tomorrow.

You should realize that the et7500 isn't a real fast box anymore.

Attached Files

Did you update or reflash? It could be that the mandatory update did not come with update?

Yes you have the correct version. This is interesting. You can see that the parent tries to stop the recording thread, but the recording thread does not respond (at least not in time). Normally the recording thread will say it's stopped and show some statistics, I am completely missing them here.

The only thing I can come up with is to keep trying harder and longer.

I forgot to check the et7500.

I just checked the et7500. Enigma hung and box was not responsive. I'll wait for the next Develop.

I suppose you have found the solution now.
I flashed my Miraclebox with latest 8-release , checked for updates, applied them. After a restart i tried a 1min recording, and a timer recording. Both worked with no unresponsive box afterwards. This is the first time I stay with 8 and not reverting back to 7.3 . Thank You guys for an amazing work!

Yes, I think we found the root cause (and a solution). See my other post too.
