Hi guys

i installed OpenPli 8 clean on Dreambox DM8000, no problem.

But if i go to initialize HD, Pen, CF i have "Error timeout elapsed, sorry" and it doesn't mount the devices.

It seems that it blocks it at the moment of the mount.

I had previously installed OpenPli 7.3 and did not have this problem.

Any suggestions thanks.

Hi guys

I reinstalled OpenPli 7.3 and all devices (HD, CF, Pen) on the decoder have been correctly formatted and mounted.

I think it's a bug on the new OpenPli 8.

/Components/Harddisk.py OpenPli 7.3 same as OpenPli 8.0.

I checked the formatting of the internal drive, no problem. Just try to reboot the receiver after formatting.

For the OpenPli 8 clean on Dreambox DM8000, we have a problem with the automatic launch of the emu (wicardd) after restarting / turning on the tuner.

I had to add pens via telnet:

 

update-rc.d softcam defaults 50

 

for fix it.

does not matter. I tried a lot of different software. EXT3, EXT4 - no difference. I tried EaseUS Partition Master too. The tuner does not mount the FC card and the process freezes. The card is well seen by the software in PC (try card 512Mb, 4Gb, 8Gb, 16Gb!), formatted, no errors. Before that, there was a newnigma2 in the tuner without any problems!

For the old DM8000 nothing is going to be fixed. Image is build as long as it works. At one point even the 'top of the bill' DM8000 will fade into oblivion....

I suggest we stop building new images for legacy models(Dreambox/VU+/etc...).

It doesn't make any sense.

Chances are the CF mount issue is related to the switch from mdev to udev, so we need to debug and fix that.

 

FlashExpander isn't our problem.

As we don’t own many dm8000 boxes you’d best create a logfile what happens when the errors occur.

With your remarks it’s very difficult to offer a solution. Apart from this if the cause might be in the drivers this can’t be solved.

So first offer an enigma log?

 

Edit: Why do you use such odd fonts. Just use the default font. If you use Google translate use ‘copy the translation’ and paste the text overhere.

I have already set openpli-7.3-release-dm8000-20210119 image and now everything works as it should.

No problems with mounting and initializing cards, disks don't fall off, timeshift works, Image OpenPli 8 is beta to use and not work properly at DM8000.

The EMUs starts without additional settings. Flash expander works well.
