I tested the current state of lunix3-4k; with

openpli-develop-lunix3-4k-20210103_usb

openpli-8.0-release-lunix3-4k-20210104_usb

and

openvision-enigma2-develop-extralanguage-python2-10.2-r310-lunix34k_usb

Openpli develop

DVB driver version 2020-02-03 NOK for lunix3-4k (1200E6)

It means subtitles OK, but box crash on standby mode.

YouTube videos works! I just tested, as it was NOK for while ago. Now OK 

The same issue as wirh develop- box crash on standby mode.

Drivers version: 2019-04-24 Overall OK. BUT, BUT, BUT HD Subtitles NOK for lunix3-4k.

YouTube video NOK somewhy!? It means can't play videos!? Why, I have no ideas.

HD Subtitles are OK with latest DVB driver version 2020-02-03 but then box crash on standby mode (known issue already from the beginning of that Drivers version).

So on Open Vision at the moment previous drivers, which not crashing box on standby, but with it subtitles NOK!

I sent this report to DAGS too, I hope they're making in 2021 a new driver, which solves this problem.

There's nothing else I can do. From PLi, I'd leave it as it is- maybe it pushes!?

I m trying it but in multiboot mode, it dont crash at standby at the moment.
On openwebif isnt working screen capture but i dont know if it s related with multiboot or openpli 8.1

This problem was solved with DVB driver version 2021-04-27, I reported it also here:

About Kodi, I have not tested it yet, I’ll do it this weekend!

 

And abot that, it's a known mistake and not related with multiboot or openpli 8.1:

No, the problem is that grab fails to open the device device for RO because the driver has the video open in exclusive mode. All Qviart/Xsarius models have that problem.

 

You can see the error if you strace it on the commandline.

The Qviart Lunix4K (not the 3) is still not able to reboot, its remains stuck at reboot only way is to power off / power on.

Zeros can you please escalate this to Qviart?

Does it get stuck on the reboot itself, or during the bootup (at the qviart bootlogo)?

When using reboot from the command line, the box reboot properly the background is displayed and then nothing happens.

power off/on the box reboot normally.

Not sure what this is, but multiple boxes have this problem, not only on a "normal" reboot, but also with the reboot after flash.

 

The image simply doesn't boot (the manufacturer logo is displayed by the bootloader) after a software reboot

Yes correct this is the problem.

I can't report this problem because I don't have any more information and I don’t have this box for tests. When I reported it, they wanted all kinds of things like a serial log and stuff. But I can ask again about the screenshot (video) bug- what WanWizard said *because the driver has the video open in exclusive mode*.

What's changed here? I tested yesterday 8.1 with lunix3-4k, but found nothing special about kodi 18. Not in Feed? I'll use Kodi with raspberry pi4.

Kodi is only available on boxes for which the manufacturer has enabled it, as it needs hardware specific graphics drivers.

 

So Kodi improvements doesn't mean kodi available on more hardware.

about kodi on lunix4k, nothing has changed, we have since years these settings:

SRC_URI_append_lunix4k = " file://egl/EGLNativeTypeV3D-lunix4k.patch"

 EXTRA_OECMAKE_append_lunix4k = " -DWITH_V3D=nxcl"

 

I was just curious about it at runtime.

 

If it is not in the feed most probably the BSP has not enabled kodi in MACHINE_FEATURES.

Other BSP's do add ikodi to OPENPLI_FEATURES.

 

In one or the other way it should be built and in the feeds.

HbbTV Plugin not working (unfortunately). If you press the red button, you'll have a white screen that you can't find out any other way than via a power button from behind. I tried it just in case, otherwise everything's pretty good!
